My fiance and I, love this place! It has great old school style. The lighting is just dim enough so that you can relax into your cozy booth and listen to the live band/music, while sipping whatever drink suits you. The drinks are delicious!! The food is amazing! The house chips are worth going for alone.

Love coming here, especially since it’s under New Ownership. The food quality is worth the price. They’ve got a good variety of comfort food and traditional grill grub. We love the Queso, best in town for flavor and consistency. Couldn’t ask for better staff or nicer owners. Definitely recommend grabbing a bite. Lunch specials on Fridays and Saturdays are a real bargain too!

On a road trip, my family and I stopped in here on short notice on a Thursday evening and were seated right away. Service was friendly and prompt, and the owner even stopped by for a chat. Food was delicious and the servings were generous. Would definitely stop in again!

Well known for less-than-average food. However, I heard that they had new ownership and the food is improved. The day that we were there, they had live music. It was amplified and so loud that we could only shout across the table or talk between songs. The singer/keyboard player was talented. It we were there for drinking, rather than dinner, I might not have been annoyed. I ordered chicken alfredo. Unfortunately, they were “out of noodles.” The fried mushrooms were full of water. The cheeseburger was good-better than average. The side salad was lettuce, three cherry tomatoes and shredded cheddar (that seems to be a thing around here). Service was good.

Great place to eat and now that they finally are open when the door says it will be one of my go to places to eat. I’ve been trying to eat there with my fiancé, who’s never been, for awhile but they were never open. Now they are under a new manager, who came out greeted us made a few jokes and was very friendly. He asked for input on our meal and the service we received as he filled us in on changes and that he was the new manager and they would have better hours and thanked us for coming in. I’ve always liked the atmosphere and the food was the same excellent menu I remembered. The drinks are always good the price is affordable and the food or quality. Definitely a contender in my book for top restaurants of independence.

The black angus certified ribeye was the most tender steak I’ve ever eaten. I literally cut it dragging an average steak knife across the top. It was almost like cutting warm butter. It was excellent flavor!

I recently visited Uncle Jack’s Bar & Grill and I was really impressed! The atmosphere was great and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and there was a good selection of drinks. The prices were fair and the service was very prompt.
