Loved all of the food, with smoked meatloaf as the biggest surprise. This was a last second pick for us and I’m so glad we ordered it.

Omg so worth the drive. Everything and I mean everything we ordered was delicious except the fried okra. The onion rings are the best onion my family has even ate. The brisket was spectacular. The green beans are drool worthy. The mile high bacon cheese burger was enough to feed a starving teenager. The sweet tea was very good. I think I drank a gallon by myself. We will make a return trip after we lose the 20lbs we gained by eating here today.

Had high hopes for this place based on other reviews but unfortunately it was ok at best. I had the meatloaf, tater salad and a side of chili and all seemed to be too salty/overly seasoned. The best part of the meal was the shrimp poppers. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. They also need a faster way for you to pay when you’re done, at the table possibly? Getting caught in line behind a bunch of takeout orders is crazy, that and never actually giving you a check. You have to get that at the window when you pay, but We didn’t even have a chance to see ours.

If I had to describe Uncle Gus’s in one word, I would say “authentic.” I decided to give this place a visit, and I absolutely loved it. After much deliberation, I picked the two-meat BBQ combo (pulled pork and brisket). The meat was juicy and tender and so full of flavor …perfectly smoked. Gus’s has a plethora of sides, and I chose baked beans and fried okra. If those aren’t to your liking, I’m sure the coleslaw, mashed potatoes, tater tots, mac ‘n’ cheese, sweet potato fries, or a few others listed on the menu would satisfy your tastes. I loved the look and feel of this place, and the food was served quickly too. Just when I thought my experience at Gus’s was complete, my waitress suggested apple pie – hot and fresh right from the oven – with vanilla ice cream. I couldn’t pass on such a classic yummy treat. Delicious from the first bite to the last!

Great food! We had the prime rib sandwiches and the Jeff salad. Then, we went back on Saturday for the prime rib. It was excellent. We had the fried pickles for an appetizer, be prepared, they are spicey, and the jalapeño ranch really heats them up. Get there by 5 for the prime rib, or you will find yourself waiting to be seated. The turnover is quick, so the wait is not too bad. I highly recommend Uncle Gus’s BBQ to anyone

Uncle Gus’s is a very busy establishment, which almost always means good food. This evening we drove nearly an hour to eat and it did not disappoint. We had a little bit of a wait time but the service definitely made up for it. Our waitress had just clocked in for her shift and ran herself to death getting the tables caught up. We will definitely be back.

I was referred to this place for excellent Bbq.. Not sure if it was just an off day for them or what, but the wings and meatloaf were a bit overcooked (dry) , but the pulled pork was good! Service was great! I will have to give them another try soon and maybe I can give a better review, but for now it’s just an average Bbq place with a great staff and atmosphere!

This place had really good food. The service was fast (in covid terms). The wait staff was extremely busy but extremely attentive and friendly. I did my best to be as accommodating as possible. I got the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sandwich was good but it was not barbecue. There was no smoke flavor to the meat. I was suspicious that there was no large amount of smoke at the establishment. The meat was great but it was actually carnitas. I like carnitas so it was fine. The meat was very moist. The portion was too small. The portion was $6.99. This was a great price point but the portion looked small. The bun was tasty but way too big. They either need to increase the portion size and charge more or use a much smaller bun. The amount of fries was also too small.

Very good food, a bit greasy but that is the nature of fried sides. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was excellent. My husband ordered the ribs lunch and they were fall off the bone deliciousness and the barbecue sauce was very good and I am not a BBQ person. Service is friendly and welcoming. The place is adorable and fun decorated. Try the onion rings
