Uncle D’s Diner is comfort and nostalgia at its finest! The old school diner atmosphere just adds to the charm of this place. But don’t let the vintage vibe fool you, the food here is seriously good. The wings are a must-try, with a tangy sauce that is unlike any other. And if you’re in the mood for something more unique, go for the Cadillac Taco – it’s huge and packed with diner love.

Great clean and unique atmosphere. Someone playing live music some mornings makes it special. The food and specials are always excellent. The waitstaff is always engaging and friendly. Orders are on point. Coffee could be a tiny bit better, just think it could be stronger but that’s me.. otherwise I LOVE THIS PLACE it deserves 5 stars plus. I always meant to leave a review and never did. Finally doing it now. Check this place out you’ll be glad you did!

All staff and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Clean establishment. When ordering, I asked if they had rye bread and she answered yes and added it was seedless. That was going to be my next question! I ordered the soup & sandwich special and my husband ordered a hamburger platter. Both cooked perfectly! When ready to leave, I was wondering if we could get to-go cups. The waitress came over and I was going to ask her, but she asked us if she could top off our drinks in a to-go cup for us. Mind readers! I wish we had an Uncle D’s Diner in the Lisbon area!

The food, service and old fashioned diner atmosphere are why I enjoy coming here again and again. Breakfast and lunch are the specials as they close around 2pm during the week. I’ve never left hungry or having had a single negative experience. If you’re in the area I definitely recommend you stop in!

What a great place! Friendly staff, excellent quality and value food all with live music! We arrived on a busy Saturday morning and we got seated and served in less than 10 minutes as a group of 8 on our way to Six Flags. On our way out the kids were given take away donuts. What a nice touch. Thank you

We watched as others who came in after us were being waited on. When finally waited on the waitress was pleasant not friendly. She seemed scared actually. There was a smile with no small talk. My family loves service that makes us feel at home. The food was ok not spectacular at all. We were asked by a second waitress if we needed more butter. Very observant of her. Still not friendly. Flies were hovering around the table. Breakfast was over $50. If the food was spectacular this would not have been mentioned in this review. The owners son made us wait to pay as he is having a full on conversation with someone and scrolling through his phone. It took him about 3mins to acknowledge us. Yes. 3mins!!!!! Other gracious customers was waiting as well but was sincerely kind in allowing us to go first. After paying the owners son throw the card on the table and DID NOT say anything at all. Had to ask if the transaction was complete. With a big smile he said yes. It felt like he couldn’t wait for us to leaves. POSITIVES:

Really personable service here. Casual relaxed atmosphere. Though it was before noon, we were not in the mood for breakfast, and ordered lunch. The Uncle D’s famous wings with a secret recipe which includes 13 spices, only use the center joint. No drumettes. Their sauce is unique. Oddly sweet with a soft burn underneath. Very wet, it’s about one napkin per wing. Not something to order on a first date! My burger was cooked rare as ordered, and my partners Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was what it should be. Both very good. A table behind us got a turkey club sandwich that looked amazing. They do emphasize on their menu they make really stacked sandwiches. This was a good example of one. A half day diner: Hours are 6:00AM – 2:30PM M-F and Sat 6:30-1:30pm/Sun 7:30- 1:30PM.

A friend recommended this little spot for food, as we are from the other side of CT. My 11 year old daughter and I decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! We started with fresh orange juice and fresh home brewed unsweetened iced tea. They are delicious. Next we got a crock of French Onion soup. It was delicious, overflowing with melty cheese, croutons, soft sweet onion slices. We ate it til the last drop! For lunch we ordered chicken tenders and onion rings, and a BBQ chicken melt on Texas toast. They are excellent! My daughter couldn’t resist and dove right in before I could snap a pic of her tenders haha! Large portions, cooked to perfection, hot and fresh! I am so pleased and will be back every time I’m in the area!

We have been here two times for brunch, the brunch is fabulous and the launch sandwiches seemed delicious. However the second time the food lacked salt. We got to meet the uncle D himself and he was so nice and gifted us with some sweets . The atmosphere is a clean but old diner with shiny blue booths and nostalgic decoration.
