1st time trying a beef patty and it was AMAZING! we tried cocobread (I think it’s called) it was ok. The food was hot and fresh! They were very busy, but the wait wasnt long at all. We’ll DEFINITELY be back next time we’re in Connecticut.

I visit Uncle Ben twice a week. I order my usual Oxtails with white rice and my girlfriend gets the Curry chicken with steamed vegetables with rice and peas. The Oxtails are so tender that You can literally suck the meat off the bone and the Curry Chicken is always fresh.The staff is very friendly and the portions are definitely worth the price. I’m a Barber and I recommend Uncle Ben to my customers who want authentic Jamaican Food that’s close to home!

Decent spot overall. Chicken could have been more tender and rice less clumpy/hard in spots. The beef patties could have used more beef as well. Decent for the price and convenience though.

Tried it yesterday. Had curried goat, rice and peas, and vegetables. The staff was very friendly, it was clean, and the food was absolutely delicious! I wish they had “home made” Sorrell, the bottled one just wasn’t it, but next time I’ll just get Ting or Ginger beer 🙂

Like Uncle Ben’s, we are new to New Britain and today, 6/12 was our first visit. The food was absolutely wonderful. The service was also top notch, as we ordered thru Grubhub and they called within 5 minutes to finalize our order as we had a special requests.
