After eating here on and off for years I have finally decided to post a review. I am eating Hibachi Steak as I write this. There is a big smile on my face right now because Ume Grill Express has given me PERFECT food yet again! It happens every time. They always get every detail right. A fantastic place to eat, and very nice people that own the establishment as well. Highly recommended!

After driving by this location several times, I didn’t quite understand what was happening here. Don’t be fooled by looks, this place is a purveyor of top notch, freshly made and delicious Japanese food. A very small footprint yields a ton of great food. The staff guided me thru many options but I had my heart set on shrimp fried rice. A little more expensive than the local Chinese food places but well worth it. The owner magically appeared with boxes and such related to her work here. I said hello and we chatted while my order was prepared. A wonderful personality filled with humility, a very nice person with some really good recipes! I leave for my car and she stops me and gives a complimentary dessert! I will definitely be back. My food was delicious and the staff was a pleasure.

Seriously one of my favorite lunch spots! I call in about 10 minutes ahead and when I get there, my lunch is ready for pick up. I usually order the build your own poke bowl, but recently tried the express hibachi and it was so good! The staff is amazing and rave about this place to all of my friends.

Ume has the BEST poke I’ve had outside of anywhere! The restaurant is fairly unassuming but its food is beautifully presented and FULLY delivers in terms of freshness, flavor, and quantity. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality sushi or poke in the Vero area.

Tried my first poke bowl here a couple weeks ago and can confidently say it’s my new favorite meal, specifically the sushi poke bowl! The workers are super nice and the bowls are always fresh and ready within a few minutes. Definitely try it out!

Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars in because it is way overpriced. I went there during “lunch specials” This scallop hibachi was $20 after upcharge for wanting just veggies and no rice, and clear soup. And you only get 3 scallops (were very large and good). Food was really good, just extremely expensive.
