A sweet local gem more people need to try! This is my first encounter of any true Hawaiian food in the Bergen County area and I’m glad to have it close to home. My first experience I had was the U’i combo – Hawaiian garlic shrimp & Hawaiian ahi tuna, plus a side of spam musibi and lychee tea. It surely went above my expectations and left me more than satisfied. I couldn’t get enough of that ahi tuna and had to make it the star of my next round at U’i. A huge coffee drinker, and their Kona Americano did not disappoint. The space alone feels homey and welcoming, and the owner is super sweet and friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back to try more of the menu!

I never write reviews but I’ve been to U’i Shrimp a couple times now and it never disappoints. So fresh, so tasty and authentic. The service is quick too. You won’t be disappointed. This is a pic of their spicy Ahi bowl. Yum. Give it a try!

Love Hawaiian food but this was a little disappointing. They throw everything into a box with no partitions. They use the same box for all their sizes so if you get a small, it looks half eaten but I digress. The shrimp is a little bland on its own so make sure you get some the garlic sauce in your bite. The chicken is well seasoned but was dry on the first go and a little less so on my second visit. The sides for the combo changes, I got macaroni salad and then slaw on my second go. Both were good. It’s far from the best Hawaiian food I’ve ever had but with little choice in Bergen county, I guess I’ll take what I can get.

I would definitely recommend people come here. The food is super flavorful and really good. The chicken was very tender and juicy but still crispy. The staff was very sweet and welcoming. I got the pink lemonade and it was so fresh and was delicious. Soft serve here is fantastic too! Would absolutely recommend 🙂

The food looked way better than it tasted. I order the Hawaiian garlic shrimp, and I was surprised the shrimp wasn’t peeled. However, that was okay, it looked good so I didn’t mind doing the work. Lots of people like to leave the shell on for more flavor. The problem was that it wasn’t good. It looked like it had very flavorful seasoning but it was very bland and disappointing. I couldn’t even finish the dish. It was a big waste of money. The only thing that was kind of okay was the fried chicken. It didn’t have much seasoning either but I able to make it better with my own seasoning and sauces. I will never order from this place again. I will never gamble with a new restaurant through ubereats again

We happened upon this charming spot by chance and were blown away by our experience from the moment we walked in until we said our goodbyes. We enjoyed a delightful variety of dishes, such as spam musubi, garlic shrimp, ahi tuna, mango smoothie, popcorn chicken, a coffee latte, and lychee tea. The spam musubi was top-notch, easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The garlic shrimp was outstanding, perfect for garlic and shrimp lovers alike. The ahi tuna was a treat – sweet, tender, and incredibly fresh, served with a pineapple mango side that complemented it perfectly.

This is a new and unique Hawaii restaurant. Even though at yelp, it is described as fast food, I think it is more like a cute restaurant with home made food. Walking into it, the plumeria decorative sign brings you to Hawaii. I can image the delightfully scent of the plumerias and feel myself in Hawaii. I had garlic shrimp and pink lemonade. The shrimp is so yummy and juice! The pink lemonade is very fresh. it was too late for me to try their Kona coffee and I was too full to try other food from menu. Can’t wait to go again! Overall, fast and warm service, healthy and delicious food, relaxing Hawaii style, such a gem in the area!

Nice place and friendly staff. I have order the combo, which included garlic shrimp, stewed beef, salad and rice. Very tasty and rich in flavor. If you like coffee, their Kona coffee is another must try. They do have a cotton candy machine and a claw machine inside, and my kids were having fun. Overall good experience and I recommend.

I love the brand new inside of the restaurant. The food is my type: healthy, tasty, and affordable. We tried Hawaiian Ahi Bowl, U’i Combo (spicy shrimp and stewed beef with rice and salad), U’i Musubi, U’i Sushi Donut, strawberry smoothie and U’i pink lemonade. We loved all of them and will order again.
