i ordered their udon and curry set (hot). the food was decent but nothing too spectacular. the udon broth was tasty but the noodles themselves were way too mushy. maybe it was just that night on my visit, but their udon had little to no elasticity/bounce. the curry was decent but tasted pretty packaged and the rice was over cooked and mushy. i’d be down to give them another try though at some point. if price matters to you, this place serves food cheap.

Very good cheap eats with udon and rice bowls and combos. I got the spicy tuna combo set and didn’t love the fatty tuna- it doesn’t quite look like the picture on the menu. But overall I’d come back for some basic udon and donburis!

the staff are so fun to talk to. we sat at the bar and it was the best experience. really liked the chef with cool hair, we bonded over hair lol. the food was top notch and simply perfect. got to see the whole process!

This is my favorite place in the world. I come here whenever I am in New York, and I have been coming here for more than 12 years. It’s a hidden gem. I always get gyudon and the curry udon, which are so good. My wife always gets the pork katsudon. Highly recommend.

Udon cooked perfectly with a tame soup base that doesn’t over or under whelm. Good service and the price is right. Oh, and it’s BYOB so feel free to run across the street, grab some drinks and bring it over.

Always an amazing experience at Udon St Marks. One of the only places I found to have truly amazing curry that you can take home and reheat the next day and still be satisfied. The food is always perfect and the service is always quick, perfect place to go to after work or with friends.
