I’ve never noticed this place before… was toodling around the area looking for small business restaurants and the sign on the side of the building caught my eye… 3 dozen??? There must be a good story here!! The restaurant has been here for 42 years…. owned by this family for 26 years… I talked to the owner. Their meat is delivered daily (burger meat is never frozen) and they cut their fries by hand from potatoes!!! Today I only purchased a gift card for a friend… but I will be back here this week to eat lunch!!

The best fries you will ever eat. The new owner hasn’t changed anything. Love this place.

If you like small town burger join charm, then this is your place! If dining in you walk in, order, self-serve drinks, have a seat and your order is brought to you. Dining area is small and a decor is dated but it does at a bit of charm. The staff is great! I ordered the burger and curly fries (which they are well know for). The burger had great flavor and the toasted bun just topped it off. The curly fries are always cooked to perfection.

The burgers and fresh cut curly Q’s here are truly amazing. The store has been there for years and it’s for a good reason! They are always consistent, reasonably priced, delicious, and a unique gem to find. If you have any food allergies, they are 100% accommodating which is super helpful! Do yourself a favor and try it – you won’t regret it!

Ty’s is a piece of history that isn’t aging all that well. The burgers are pricey but small and rather dry and light on toppings. The fries are generous but very greasy, and some of that oil seems to live on the tabletops. Don’t get me wrong; if you’ve not eaten at Ty’s you haven’t done Tulsa. The staff treat you like old friends and they keep the experience fun. I am truly hopeful of a Renaissance for this Tulsa tradition’ fundamentals..

So, my brother lived in Tulsa for many years… and never invited me to Ty’s. My daughter and I were looking for a new hamburger establishment we had never patronized, when we found Ty’s. We also invited my bro and sis… and “WOW!” We were blown away! The kewl atmosphere, the amazing burgers… why have I not been here before? You gotta try this place!

The restaurant has old fastion decor and sets a super laid back environment. You can’t beat the prices. I have lived in Tulsa of about 4 months and been here 5 times. The 1/3lb hamburger ($4) is really good, simple and clean. The ($1.6) homemade curly fries are great; they don’t add any seasoning or salt /pepper so you get a really clean fresh potato fry. I normally get a water (free) to drink, but I can leave here and not have the feeling of being weighted down and groggy from a heavy meal. The staff has been extremely nice everytime.
