I sent my bf to get me some chitlins, smothered turkey necks, and gumbo and everything was perfect! It gave me such a nostalgic, longing feeling. Definitely tastes like it was made with love and considerable effort. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel comforted while enjoying fresh tasting, flavorful food. It really does taste like home

Sir
Hands down the best soul food I have had in years!!! I read reviews on Google and YouTube about places while traveling before I sleep, eat drink, sleep .. I’m just that kind of guy. Two sisters was a clean establishment from what I saw in the eating area and was cozy, felt like I was at home! The waitress was wonderful and very attending drinks (sweet tea and water) stayed refilled. I was a little shaky due to a couple bad reviews but I’m not one to call people Liars but ummmm That was not and nowhere near the experience I had… thank you two sisters for having a wonderful establishment that I will return to from DC again and again and again to dine at!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so shocked at the other reviews that was not satisfied. This place is under rated. They can have my money any day. I ate here this is my third time and every meal was amazing. The staff are so nice and friendly. Makes u feel like you are their sister too. Food hot and steaming best southern food in New Orleans. In my life actually. My dad took me here slot as a teenager now I’m 30 and would recommend this place to anyone looking for real authentic soul food. Portions are over the top and I get to have left overs each time we’ll worth the money. Try them

Well I have wanted to try this “Soul Food” restaurant for a while now. It’s popular. So I went and it was a very “homey” place. The food was ok. Very greasy, poorly plated in that it wasn’t plated very appealing and the cornbread was burnt on the bottom. It was more like eating at someone’s house instead of a restaurant. Maybe that is what they are going for. The menu is limited. Not one of my favorites! Nice people though…

Great place in New Orleans to get traditional soul food. Service is pretty quick and food is good. If you in the East you already know about this place, but if you are visiting from out of town make sure you cross the high rise and come try something off the ventured path for some classic soul food.

The food is always delicious. The workers are very nice and let’s not forget about the lady that sells the sweets by the front door is always on point. If you want home cooking food I suggest everyone to go to this place!

Food is always good. The staff is like family. I just hate they aren’t open on Saturdays. I can only go on Sunday’s because by the time I get off work during the week they’re closed. But I love them!!

We spent $40 on an uber to/from to eat here after hearing rave reviews. It wasn’t worth it. I had pork chops & my sister had turkey wings and they were both really good. The waiter wasn’t clear about sides we could get with our meals and we were charged an extra fee for sides that we didn’t eat. The macaroni was spicy, rice & greens were ok but…the cornbread was great!

The oxtails were tender and I appreciated the server telling me the wait time. She personally bagged my plate and was extremely pleasant.

Everything was great but i spilled some gravy on my pants and its hard to take off and the cook has over 30 years of recipes in her head. Lol. So awesome. Hold onto your napkins so you dont get food stains
