When we walked in the door we were greeted like long lost friends. Since I’m from Pennsylvania this was the first BBQ place I have been to and they were very patient with me as I looked through the menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, and six cheese smoked macaroni and cheese. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted incredible. They also have a variety of sauces on the table that you can put on your meat, if you choose to do so.

Stopped here on our way through town. Their barbecue was good, but the burger and chicken sandwich weren’t so good, so I’d recommend sticking with BBQ. Fries and jalapeño cornbread were good and the Brunswick stew was amazing. Mac & cheese? Best I’ve ever had! The staff was super super nice which made our experience even better! I would definitely come here again but order something different since I didn’t love my burger (it was pretty dry).

This place is a hidden jewel in the tiny city of Whitesburg. The restaurant is quant and colorfully decorated with signs, sayings, and photos. The laid back atmosphere was very welcomed. The service was excellent not to be outdone by the food. Everything from the smoked chicken and brisket sandwiches, okra, Mac n cheese to the banana pudding was so good! Nice servings. A surprise that is a must to try is their jalapeño cornbread

Ordered Brisket sandwich and a sample of Pulled Pork. Brisket may be the best I’ve had in Georgia. Moist but not soupy, sliced thick, and smoky flavor with a pepper crust. Absolutely no sauce needed. Pulled Pork was moist with a good smoke flavor. Excellent alone, but improved with mustard-based sauce. A must-stop for BBQ if you’re in the area.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our way home from a road trip, and what a great find!! Food was all delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. Lots of interesting menu choices, in addition to standard favorites. If we pass through the area again, we will be sure to stop at Twisted Steel BBQ.

My husband and I have lived in Whitesburg for about 6 months, we always pass by this place and finally tried it today for the first time! The service was really friendly and quick and everything was amazing. Their homemade signature sauce and lemonade were soo good. We can’t wait to come back again!
