Two and a half hour lunch with poor quality of food and slow service. Ordered a take out for invalid mother trying to order items on menu that she could eat. For whatever reason they did not save enough of what we ordered, so by the time they prepared her food they changed her order without notice.

Country Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots. Great food and service. Nice to not only have a sit down meal, but the view is amazing, right here in hometown Mt. Carmel

Good home cooking including real mashed potatoes, sweet corn fritters and catfish at the confluence of the Wabash and White rivers. Nice people. Nice view.

My partner and I both ordered Country Fried Steaks with mashed potatoes. When the plates arrived they were cold. The potatos were cold covered in steaming gravy. Poor quality, thin steaks that were fried too long. Waitresses took forever to come take our drink orders. Three different Mt Carmel residents mentioned this place as excellent and it has not lived up to expectations.

If you are looking for a country setting with good homestyle cooking, this is the place. I am all about the catfish!! Yummmm. Tables and chairs could use an update, but nice view of the rivers. I eat here every time I come to visit my grandpa.

Beef Manhattan was really good! My hubby had the catfish and really enjoyed it. Great view of the river too.

Food, and service was great. I ordered the catfish fillets, green beans, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was great. If I’m back in town I definitely will be back.
