I was excited to try Tugs because we have heard so much about this little bar and grill. Unfortunately, after stopping by there and giving it a try, I must say that it was very disappointing. The female bartender was very unfriendly and acted like we inconvenienced her for wanting to order food. The fish was greasy and indercooked and we just felt like we were not welcomed there. Maybe it we just caught them on a bad day, but I really was hoping this could be a regular stop for us.

Seemed like a cool place to hang out but I’m guessing mostly locals and friends gave it a high number. Worst french fries I’ve ever had. The Philly cheese steak was dry and tough. There was very little cheese and mushrooms on one half. Overpriced too. BLT is $9.00. I just got one near LaCrosse for $5.50 with a side.

I did not eat but the food looked very good. The bartender is also the cook so they count on it not being busy. No tap beer. There are no tables in the main bar area, just the bar and two pool tables. There is a back room but doesn’t look like it gets much use. There is a nice outside seating area. 3.50 for spotted cow. And the AC is ice cold.
