I had a great happy hour experience. The service and drinks are excellent. Prices are decent for the city. Food was hit and miss. Hamachi kama and shishito peppers are good. The tofu was a little mushy and fried squid legs cold. The sashimi was average. The tuna roll was very good. We sat at the sake bar on the side and it was a very nice laid back setting. I would go back.

We’ve been to Tsushima 4 years ago and we love it! We are in New York today and we all agree to try it again, we’re all so happy the place never disappoints! The sushi are as fresh and as good as we remembered!

The sushi/sashimi was fresh but average in comparison to the many better competitors in Midtown East. The tempura had no flavor to it, the chicken teryaki was dry. Lunch menu prices are ok for what you get. The service was friendly enough but the strictly enforced “seating only when the party is complete” policy is very inconvenient when you’re meeting several colleagues from other companies for a work lunch. Waiting for everyone to arrive at the entrance while the restaurant is 2/3 empty and there are plenty of free tables is not a great start to your lunch. All in all not an experience that would make me want to come back.

Oh man — we were completely blown away with this restaurant. We just saw this while walking around the area, not knowing what to expect. We were just really craving for Japanese food. Needless to say, we are SO happy we chose this restaurant for dinner. The prices were surprisingly wallet-friendly, given the freshness and quality of the food. Each bite was just SO GOOD. The service was very fast, and the server was so friendly and accommodating. I honestly can’t think of anything bad about this restaurant. I can’t wait to eat here again!

Love this place for Lunch. Really tasty lunch specials. Fish is always super fresh. Service is always very quick. It does get a little noisy but I am a loud talker and a good listener so I don’t mind. I typically opt for the daily special – Tuesday’s Chirashi bowl is definitely my favorite! Tons of fish for $20 – can’t beat it in midtown.

We had an exceptionally kind waitress, and the Goma Shoyu Ramen was absolutely delicious. Interior was extremely clean and inviting.

Great sushi in midtown east. Reliably fresh ingredients, simple presentation of dishes, decent portion sizes (not large). Dinner combo is the best – $29 to pick 4 small plates and one 6-piece roll.

I went here for lunch. This is pretty expensive for lunch but the sushi is really fresh. I got these two rolls with a soup and salad 27.00. The salad and soup are tiny so it kind of feels like a rip off. I was sat at the bar which I don’t mind because I’m one person, however I felt like I was being rushed when ordered and the waiter was extremely rude. But overall the food is really good. I just probably would of had a better experience with someone else.
