The best overall meal I have had in Lynchburg! And the restaurant is beautiful…hard to believe you’re not in a resort city. The salad was so fresh with locally sourced greens. The bread and butter was unusually good too. The entrée of seared scallops over diced corn and squash was prepared perfectly. To top it all off the homemade peach and blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream for desert was just like grandma would make. I usually don’t get desert unless I’m on vacation, but you can’t skip it when the food is that well prepared. You have to try it…it is well worth the price! Ate there on a weeknight around 5pm, so when I left it was probably half full, so get there early.

Great place for cocktails and conversation! I love the atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Upscale vibes. Small plates, but super delicious. I loved my cocktails. Excellent customer service!!!!

This is a “one of a kind” restaurant in Lynchburg! Everything from the food to drinks and ambiance was “top notch.” The servers were great too in making sure we had what we needed and that everything was to our liking. I can’t say enough great things about this AMAZING restaurant! It’s our NEW FAVORITE!!

Brunch menu on Sunday! I have to admit I’m not excited when I see a brunch menu but this was a pleasant surprise! Everything we got was wonderful! Beautiful scenery and nice environment! We will be back.

While visiting Virginia, my family and I ate at Truss. I enjoyed the steak salad with greens. Very delicious! The pesto was awesome! Everything was very flavorful. I would recommend this place for the laid-back casual atmosphere.

I’ve visited Truss three times in the last week and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food is great and the ambiance and vibe feels more like a restaurant you’d expect to visit in Richmond, Raleigh, or DC. The chef has worked at The Four Seasons (and that is reflected in both the food and decor.) As a world traveled foodie, it’s great to see Lynchburg taking the food scene up a notch!

Okay … I feel bad rating it a 3 but it’s really for overall experience because THE FOOD IS SLAMMIN!!!! I loved the seating and the v tall ceilings. It was our server who made the experience less enjoyable. Without being rude, she looked between the age of 65 and 75. She seemed just very lost when she came to our table saying, “I’m pretty sure you are my table”. She took our order, brought bread, all was well. She brought us our food, it was HEAVENLY!! Can’t stress that enough. We finish our meal in about 15 minutes. She literally never comes back. About 20 minutes pass and I ask a hostess if she can find our server for the check. Low and behold, she’s a couple tables behind us and had been talking to another table the ENTIRE time. Then the host says, “I’m so sorry she’s with her other table over there, I’m not sure when she’ll be done but I’ll tell her when she is” ??????? What?????? No. I walked over there, tapped her on the shoulder and said, “can we get our check please?” She looked flustered and said “oh yeah of course! Do you need desert menus?” “no, just the check….” Mind you, I had my 9 year old with me. We got there at 7 and wanted to be out no later than 830 which would’ve been doable if it wasn’t for this experience. She then takes my boyfriends credit card, walks back to the table she was chatting with AND STARTS YAPPING WITH THEM AGAIN!! And when she walked away, I saw the woman at that table roll her eyes and look relieved she had left!! Not only that, I tell my son to come wait outside with me because he has autism and was starting to get antsy sitting there for so long. ANOTHER 10 MINUTES PASSES. SHE STILL DOESNT BRING THE CARD BACK. I come back inside and it wasn’t until then when she sees me that she finally checks us out. Horrible, horrible, horrible service. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because of her age but no, for such an upscale meal we had, you need better servers. MY COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF!!! The menu is exquisite and our food was some of the best we’ve ever tasted in our lives. Keep doing your thing!!!
