Usually happy with this location. Bragged about the bbq to some relatives from out of town. Came in to get a to go order and was greeted with an expressionless cashier, Alanna. Never smiled and acted like she didn’t want to be there.

My wife Barbara and I have been coming since 2017 just about on a weekly basis and this place has definitely seen better service. They are constantly forget items and now they wouldn’t give extra bread for my order which included 5 meats, which has never been an issue in the past, Madison explained that they can’t be giving out extra bread because they might run out before the end of their shift. Never offered to have me pay extra for bread just flat out refused. A Lazy excuse followed by poor customer service if you ask me. Hopefully next time we have a better experience but probably won’t be recommending this place anymore.

HEB has it all figured out. Skeptical? Let this be your reason to try it out. You won’t be disappointed. Sides are always good. Meats are always good. We have never had a bad meal here. Dine in before you shop, or snag it on your way out as takeout. It’s always a good idea. Burnt ends or lean brisket, doesn’t matter. It’s flavorful and servings are plentiful. This is one of those places, IYKYK. Don’t pass up a True Texas BBQ. They are not located everywhere.

Pleasantly surprised how ridiculously good this BBQ was. The brisket and ribs were super tender. And the loaded cornbread with brisket was so good and sinful. I need to run an extra 30 minutes after eating that! Plus the cherry cobbler was so perfectly warm, sweet and yummy!

I ordered via DDash the collards, lean brisket, mac, cornbread, & banana pudding. As you can see, THEY didn’t include my banana pudding . Anyway, everything tasted delicious & was seasoned well. The collards & the cornbread went perfectly together. Next time I’ll order in person since the reviews on DDash pretty much all say items were missing. This place is too expensive to be forgetting items.

True Texas BBQ is one BBQ joint you don’t want to pass up. You can’t go wrong with any menu item you choose here. All the meats are juicy and full flavor. You’re truly getting your dollars worth here! I would note that the fries and baked/loaded potatoes come with a lot of salt, so I’d be cautious of that.

Surprisingly good barbecue! What is not to love about getting a 2 meat plate with 2 sides, onions, pickles, and bread with a cold beer prior to grocery shopping? Lean brisket was tender with great bark. Good sausage as well. The sides were all tasty. We had Mac and cheese, potato salad, collard greens, and green chili cornbread.

I get their party packs to cater lunches for my customers. The food is fantastic and they cover all the bases. It’s packaged well, they provide plates, napkins, utensils, serving utensils, and they even do sweet tea, unsweet tea, lemonade, and several desert options. No better way to feed a large group of hungry people than this.

The BBQ brisket is good/decent/dry depending on the day and hour. It is very inconsistent, which is the common theme at this location. Everyone is always friendly, but even after repeating back orders (which they rarely do), you are often served meals that do not match the order. Fatty brisket instead of lean, pickles instead of no pickles, and other such errors are the most common mistakes I’ve experienced.
