Here’s the real deal! Most steaks are Hand cut and cooked to perfection! I order medium rare and let me tell you it was perfect! Spot on all the way through. Very tender. My husband had serloin and lobster he was skeptical serloin can be tough. It was just as tender as me rib eye. Will definitely stop again on the way through. Great friendly people! Old time feeling the way things used to be. I forgot to take pictures before we started eating but here’s one

Pretty cool little spot in a sleepy town in the middle of nowhere Colorado. Steak was decent, soup was delicious, atmosphere was awesome! Had that dimly lit smoky feel despite not having any actual smoke. Was the only patron during my meal but enjoyed it nonetheless. Worth a stop and look around at the John Wayne pictures and theme if nothing else!

Traveling this weekend and I heard that Brush, CO had a great steak house.

If I could give this place Zero stars I would. Absolutely terrible service. I waited over 10 minutes for someone to sit me. There was no staffers anywhere to be seen. Tough crowd too! Talk about small town warm welcomes. Not gonna happen in this joint. I’m from Texas and believe me, people jump out of their table just to greet you even though they don’t work there. I had this restaurant tagged and saved as I really wanted to try it out and boy if I was disappointed.

This was a good find for us because they were open later than any other place we could find in a pinch. The owner and her father hosted us and we enjoyed delicious, perfectly cooked steaks in a John Wayne laden themed atmosphere. This restaurant has been in business for 20 years, and is presumably enjoyed by locals who will hopefully continue to patronize them and keep it going. The salad wasn’t much to get excited about, but the hand cut steaks were tender and seasoned nicely. The prices ran moderate to high. Our bill for two adults and a child topped $70 with only one beer added.

Me & my husband had dinner here last night and it was absolutely delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy as well as the lobster tail. Soft homemade rolls, and perfectly cooked baked potato. Decor is older but the owner was very pleasant and attentive. One of Brush’s hidden gems.

If you like food real food cooked to order this is the place. And you get the Duke (John Wayne) and what he means to this country this is a must stop in Colorado.

Sitting at the bar as I write this, I’m a trucker, and have had alot of steak around the US. No joke one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. So tender, perfectly cooked. Sides were delicious and a really cool spot.

Great stop for truckers. Lots of space for them to park out back. Home style food, nicest owners. Appreciate them staying late when we were ready for ‘real food’ compared to gas station snacks.
