I like this location. I have lived near and have patronized this location for decades, and overall I receive pretty consistent, tasty food (my favorites are the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, and the Chicken Egg Foo Young). The prices are reasonable, the female working the counter is ALWAYS so kind and respectful. The one issue I face regularly is that they have cut back on the amount of sauce they provide with each meal, and the sweet and sour doesn’t seem to extend to the end of my chicken. I will live….and I will keep eating here.

Normally I like this place but today they dropped the ball. I ordered chicken mei fun which seemed a little more wet then usual but still good. I had eaten more than several bites when my eyes was drawn immediately to something pink in my food. It was a piece of shrimp. Normally extra meat is a good thing, but not in this case because I am allergic. I took the food back and the lady at the counter apologized and refunded my money. So now I am in the ER on my day off hooked to an IV. I will not be back to this establishment.

The hot and sour soup at this Triple Eight 2 location is superb! It has a great balance of the hot and sour, full of mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, tofu, carrots and more. I’ve tried various hot and sour soups across town and they are all bland and visually unappealing. Triple Eight 2 offers a beautiful serving of soup. I always go back to this restaurant specifically for this.

Used to like here. They changed hands. I got a small shrimp fried rice with 6 tiny shrimp. My daughter likes the chicken and rice. Couldn’t identify chicken. It was sooooo small. Egg rolls are shrinking in size as well. They think we as consumers won’t notice quantity over quality. WE DO NOTICE!

I have been a customer for 20 years and I’m afraid the days of Triple 8 being my go-to for Chinese food has come to an end. After management (ownership?) changed the quality of some things have gone down. In recent months the portions gave declined. And I get it, this is our economic world now. But personally I’d rather spend a little more to get the same quality and portions than before. At least that is more transparent than coming home and finding that two-thirds of your combo meal is rice, your egg roll is more wrapper than filling and your quart of wonton soup now has 6 wontons vs the 10 you used to get. It’s so sad and I hope these reviews are read and taken to heart.

I ordered online and all was well until I pulled up to the establishment. I went to pay and saw that my total was $39, way more than what a General Tso’s meal and a chicken teriyaki meal should be. I bring this up and the lady starts to argue with me. I ask for a receipt of my order and I saw that she rung up every food (chicken, rice, and egg roll) separately and as a large. She tried to hustle me. I mention to her that the general tso’s meal should be $8.75, not $18 which was the amount she charged me. She proceeds to give me more attitude and storms off, letting another worker there ring me up. I get my food at $28 instead of $39 and the chicken is disgusting. It’s old, hard, and chewy. The only good part of the meal was the rice. I will never come back here. Waste of money.

Customer service was great and staff was friendly upon pick up.. they have a very efficient COVID Plexi barrier, and the inside was clean.. but the food was super American Chinese mediocre. I lived and traveled in Japan and Asian food is easy to disappoint, but I was surprised since the staff was Asian. The egg roll was good, but the fried rice was dry. I make better at home. Tried it because I was visiting family in the area who wanted take out.

My black pepper chicken was no chicken at all. Whatever i was eating was literally just crunch no meat at all in the entire dish. It was the worse rice I had ever eaten from there and we were severely over charged. She ask if you have cash everytime you pay. If i did or that was my preferred method of payment I would use it not because you aaked for cash
