The food here was absolutely mind-blowing. Easily the best cauliflower wings I’ve ever had. The food was cooked fast and I love that the restaurant is family owned! The owner chatted with us for a bit. There’s cool artwork on the walls to purchase. I cannot praise this place enough! My non-veg family loved the food here too. The fries portions were huge and delicious!

Wanted to taste American food, but couldn’t because you’re vegetarian? Trio is the place for you, many American dishes are available with plant based substitutes. Loved the taste. There’s a 20% gratuity if one dines in.

Listen. Get in here. We were visiting and staying in a different part of town and it was so worth traveling over. If you’re anywhere near the twin cities, just go. We had the onion rings, cornbread and the burger Mac. You think you know what to expect with onion rings and cornbread and these were so much more. The seasonings in the breading of the rings plus homemade ranch and BBQ dipping sauces were amazing. I’m from KC and am so picky about BBQ sauce…and this was a great balance of spice and sweet. The cornbread is savory and also topped with sweet butter. The chili Mac was nostalgic and also something I had never experienced before, with the sweet and umami sauce and BBQ drizzle and salty pickles… We wanted to order more so we could try everything, but also probs best we didn’t because the portions were so generous. We will just need to come back.

As someone who lives in CA and has friends in Minneapolis who are constantly sharing their love of Trio, I have been impatiently waiting for a trip to the Twin Cities so I could try Trio, too!

The owner came out and interacted with us. He shared his story with us and it really touched my heart. I’m not from Minnesota and it’s unbelievable that there are only 2 African American owned plant-based restaurants here. What’s really shocking is that there’s not very much support for these two owners. I’m going to support them as long as I’m here and every time I return.

This place is amazing! This food tastes like soul food that grandma makes. I had their award-winning “Soul Bowl” and it was great. This is my first time here but I’ll be back at least twice before I leave (here for a week long National Bar convention). I’ve been 100% plant-based for two years so I always look for fully vegan restaurants whenever I travel – and I’m pretty picky. I’m a stickler for true-vegan. The food here is top-5 for me for sure, as for quality and taste. I recommend that you try it if you like soul food.

Lovely experience all three times we have visited Trio. Chef Louis often steps out of the kitchen to chat, and the woman taking our orders has the most beautiful, welcoming smile. We love coming here and are never disappointed. We got the “Go Crazy” burger and the Falafel burger. Both outstanding. Both extraordinary. Highly recommend.

I’ve eaten at Trio several times and also have had it catered, and I have always been so happy with the food and service. Trio’s collared greens are the best I’ve ever had, and their vegan ribs are absolutely amazing. Also love their corn bread with maple butter and their cauliflower wings. I will continue coming back to eat at Trio, it’s always such a treat.

I was so excited to try this black owned vegan restaurant & trying vegan food for the very first time. 25 minute commute there and back totalling a 50 minute drive only to find out that I couldn’t get the ribs due to the owner is at his family reunion and he’s the only one to cut them. What!!! This is a restaurant and whoever works in the kitchen should be trained to cut the ribs. My heart was crushed & was ready to leave but had to get something due to the long commute. I ordered the greens, sweet potatoes and cornbread.
