Had Sunday lunch while passing through town. Were seated immediately and order taken promptly. I had a brisket sandwich that I found lacked flavor. The fries were great. Wife had cheeseburger that she said was good. Also had fried pickles for appetizer, they were really good but too hot so had to let them cool. We weren’t offered any drink refills, in fact we waited about 15 minutes after we finished our meal just to get our bill so we could get back on the road. Had to get our own to go container for our leftover pickles. So my recommendation is give them a try but not when they are busy,

The meat was absolutely phenomenally. Good. The service and making sure that our order was great packed. Well was also a plus however, they did forget the ranch dressing. But definitely a place I would order to go again. Inside was a bit packed. Obviously it’s going to be with such great food on the weekend. But everything stayed warm and my ice cream did not melt. Try the apple crisp.

Some of the food is good and others not so much. The meat, while cooked through was not smoked. No pink ring, no smokiness, no burnt ends, and highly reliant on sauce for the flavor. Even so, the pulled pork and okra are really good. The brisket was not good.

Tried this place on the way to our destination! It was so good we had to stop on the return trip! Fries, onion rings and fried were the best! No grease ! Wonderful!! Burgers were juicy and the buns perfect! Jade was our waitress and she was the best!! Stop by when you are in Trinidad!!

There don’t seem to be a lot of good restaurant choices in Trinidad. My hotel recommended Trinidad Smokehouse as having good food and being welcoming. I ate at the bar, and the bartender was quite welcoming and friendly. The food was just OK. There were no local beers on tap. The decor was fun – it has a tin ceiling and some old mounted trophies. If I were to come through town again, I would probably try a different restaurant next time.

Ordered a well done steak and got a very medium, sent back got the steak back not even 2 minutes later and still pink, not the first second or third time this has happened, guess better stick to the pulled pork sandwich.
