Not your normal Mexican restaurant, in a great way! They have a menu full of creative dishes that indicate they have very talented chef in the kitchen. Our food was awesome and so was the service. I will certainly be returning the next time I’m in Georgetown. Try their chef specials, absolutely amazing. I wanted to try their dessert too but I was too full by that time, maybe next time. While you wait to be seated, look at the pictures of the menu items that are displayed on the monitor.

I am a Mexican restaurant connoisseur of sorts This place is fantastic. The food is delicious and the service cannot be beat. Extremely clean and calm environment. I’m visiting from Michigan and didn’t know the best Mexican place to try. This is the place!!!

This place was fantastic. Took my buddy there for his birthday. Service was next level. Food was perfect. Can’t wait to go again!

I travel all around Kentucky for work, and stopped in Georgetown for lunch. My waitress was very nice and fast, but oh my the prices here are outrageous. $7 for cheese dip? That’s a rip off. The most I’ve ever seen cheese dip is $4.99. For one person my meal was $22 and that’s for ordering off the lunch menu. That’s with a water to drink, no soda. The salsa container was very small. Portions were very small. They gave me enough rice and beans to feed a toddler. The rice had no flavor. Very unsatisfied.

Updated review after major changes. We use to love this place and it’s the only one I would eat at. After considerable changes to prices and menu options I’m dropping my rating from a 5 to a 1. And the only reason it’s a 1 is because we had a good server. The biggest shock and change is the price. I understand everything has gone up but it feels to the point of price gouging. There use to be 2 options for queso. Small and large and the large ran about 10$. Still a little on the high side but enough for at least 4 people. Now they only have the small bowl and it’s 12$ and barely enough for 2 people to share. The price of my favorite dish went up by 4$ and for 3 people to eat was almost 80$ plus tip. I’m sorry to say but I think this will be the last visit from us and we went there at least a few times a month. We was wondering why the place looked empty at dinner time and now we know. You can’t even make substitutions anymore. Like fries instead of rice and now you no longer get lettuce or guacamole for garnish unless you are willing to pay more. And even the amount of Pico and sour cream was minimal. I know a business needs to make money but with the amount they are charging it’s not gonna last long. I couldn’t even find a meal under 18$. For the amount we spent we could of went to a fine dining restaurant and had actual good food. If you go beware of sticker shock. And you are still expected to tip at those prices.

Our first visit to the restaurant was very soon after they had opened, and my review reflected that. The kitchen has definitely gotten it together, as we have now been back 3 times recently after saying we would not eat there again. Tres Amigos has rapidly risen to the top, at least in our opinion, as the best among Georgetown’s Mexican restaurants. Their menu is creative and we are enjoying making our way through it, as there are so many entrees to try that are a detour from the typical fare offered locally. Service is outstanding!

Went during dinner time with a friend and got seated very quickly. We were given chips quickly, and fresh queso. Our food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the mole poblano, and it was enough to feed an army! We got fried ice cream as well, and it was delicious. I attached a photo of the ice cream. Wonderful service!

Me and my fiance went here for our 7 year anniversary not long ago the waiters were amazing and on top of it (consistently making sure we didn’t need anything) The gentleman that met us at the door (for the life of me I can’t remember his name) got us seated and ran down the menu and gave us some suggestions. The food was AMAZING one thing other than food and services that I’m real big on is restroom cleanliness and their women’s restroom was very clean and smelt nice . We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Tres Amigos is hands down the best Mexican Restaurant not just in Georgetown but surrounding counties! One word to describe is Consistency. They are consistently delivering amazing delicious food, their servers are amazing (especially Claudia) and they are always so quick with service! Highly recommend!
