Oh. My. GOD. The food is AMAZING. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place! The taste of the food was perfect. I have no words to describe it. Portions were hefty, great taste, and just an overall amazing experience.

One of my favorite spots in Houston. The food is of a different level — it is very flavorful and intentional! Large, extensive menu to choose from. Dim-sum style experience. My biggest recommendation is the noodles, they were thick and chewy and absolutely delicious. The soup dumplings came out hot and good. The service is great, food came out quickly. Highly recommend.

So we went to Trendy Dumpling this week for dinner and we had a good time. For starters we ordered Cristal Dumplings, fried Button Bao and the Hot and Spicy Dumplings. As the main course we ordered Peking Duck, Dan Dan Noodles, Cubed Szchuen Chicken and the Salt and Pepper Shrimp. All the dim sum appetizers were fantastic. They were very fresh, tasty and well balanced flavors. As for the main dishes, the Peking Duck was superb. The duck was lean, crispy, and the portion was substancial. The Cube Chicken was also very good. It was fried to perfection, extra crispy and it was a good complement to the duck. The Dan Dan Noodles were phenomenal and the flavors complemented the other plates perfectly. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp on the other had, were well cooked, yet lacked seasoning. Overall it was a great meal in a great location. Only downside was that the food came out all at once, and the meal felt a bit rushed. We even got the bill without asking for it.

Came here because we were in the area looking for some dumplings, and this place did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, absolutely recommended the baing baing noodles, and soup dumplings. I also got the roasted rice hot tea, and it was delightful too! I would say almost everything we ordered could be easily shared by two people so be careful how much you order because you might have a lot of leftovers.

Soup inside dumplings – that’s the selling point of this restaurant. But it’s very limited in selection with just pork or chicken options. I wish there were more variety. The other dumpling choices are okay. I wouldn’t order the spicy dumplings again as they were very thick shell with little fillings. The special fried rice was good. The vegetable soup was interesting but I wouldn’t recommend it. The place was packed but the service was good regardless.
