Everything on their menu is delicious! I only have one issue. I wished they cut the collards smaller and without the stems. If you want your grandmother’s soul food this place doesn’t disappoint!

Why is this food so good? I ordered the salmon with Collard greens and candied yams. They even threw in some asparagus underneath the salmon. The yams were extra sweet, the greens were extra savory, and the salmon was juicy. I have a weakness for would good and this hits the spot! It is the perfect carry out comfort meal for me. *Like if this was helpful!*

Soul food is on point I remember having one bad experience when I ordered 6 chicken wings and they didn’t have any and they gave me 3 whole wings(like Chinese chicken wings) I called them and they gave me an attitude from frustration of explaining. that was the last time I ate from there but the food is great. Be prepared to wait atleast 40 plus min after ordering.

Excellent. I was stunned. Little hole in the wall. Good piping hot. Wings, perfect! Mac and cheese, delicious. Corn bread, real thing. Trap needs a funder to bring this statewide. Not fatty and tasty!

Food is great I’ve had it in the past which is why I came back ! Service I’m not too sure about. I called to order food it rang once no answer. So I called again because maybe no one got to the phone in time which will be understandable. However after I called the second time I called a third because online it states that their business hours is open but now at this point no one is just answering the phone and it’s going straight to voicemail so I called again ! Because it rang twice , got the voicemail the third , I was really anticipating their food that I called 17 more times just to see if I wasn’t buggin that they really blocked me; which is crazy to me because literally all I wanted was food …… I didn’t even speak anyone so why are they blocking calls from customers. As a business and if you’re busy say that! and ask me to hold.

They’re days I like it and times I love it! overall they be doing their thing in the kitchen im never disappointed the flavors are always on point prices are very good and u get a very good size plate I always have left overs for the next day or later definitely a go to spot on the regular for me give it a try !

My family and I enjoyed the food. I have been looking for a spot in CT for a while to eat some good soul food and finally found a spot. We left very satisfied and will definitely visit again. I suggest ordering take out, and ordering in advance since the food is cooked from scratch and may take a little while.
