A nice bar/restaurant downtown Matewan! Right next to the Devil Anse trail head, tons of parking. Great food and selection! Super nice wait staff. Would definitely visit again if in Matewan! Also the big fries were SO good!

Holy cow!! We started with the meatballs, they’re homemade and so so good!!! I had the Rueben with sidewinder fires , best Rueben I’ve ever had ! My husband had the fried fish dinner and it also was delicious! I never like hush puppies but they were very good! We also ate there last year and it was delicious then too!! Owners are super friendly and the staff is awesome ! It’s worth the trip !!

It’s one of the best hidden gems in WV. Over the years, my food, service, atmosphere, and affordable pricing have always had me coming back every time I’m in town. They have done an amazing job at studying what works other places, making it better and bringing it to this small coal town.

5 Stars! We came to ride the trail system from Middletown, PA. Of course you want to try new places to eat. Trailhead Bar & Grill provided excellent service from the time we walked through the door, providing us great service and conversation. Thank you! We will be back again!

What a great restaurant! The chicken tacos were the best I’ve ever had, and my husband enjoyed his philly quesadilla. We added the beer cheese for the sidewinder fries. Yum! Everything was tasty, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again!

My buddies and I rolled in there for lunch after we got out of the trails and let me say the food is delicious the beer and nice and cold and services is awesome!! We met the owners they were super nice and down to Earth people!! Will be making a pit stop back there when we head back to WV to ride next year!

Finding a bar and grill that isn’t a party scene is hard to find. I was able to set down eat and have a couple drinks in one of the best atmospheres I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of. The staff is super nice and treat you as if they have always known you.
