I got the Ultimate Rolls which were fantastic I definitely would recommend that. They are only serving Heineken and Japanese beer right now so no Bud light even though it’s on their menu. I tried one of the Japanese beers called Sapporo and surprisingly it wasn’t that bad and it was twice the size of the Heineken and cost $1 less. The service was my only complaint. After we ordered and got our food the waitress never came back to check to see if everything was ok or to see if we needed anything else. My fiance had to wave down one of the guys there to get another drink. But overall I highly recommend the place if you want some good food.

I consider myself a sushi expert having been to the best in the west coast and Japan. Was working in a mostly industrial city (Torrance) and was willing to give this passing-by restaurant a try: wow. At least the fatty salmon and yellowtail looked fresh and tasted the same. I was pleasantly surprised. The place is non-pretentious.

The mango toyo roll was good, but the service was unacceptable. Sat at the table for almost 20 minutes without the waitress acknowledging us. Then finally got to order rolls and ask for water. We ordered appetizers but they weren’t delivered to table until after we were done with the rolls.. all in all a very mediocre experience, due to the poor service.

Toyo Sushi is a hidden gem. It’s small and quaint but has the best food. I highly recommend their bulgogi. Portions are great for the price! If you have a birthday you just might be lucky enough to try the Green Tea ice cream which is amazing.

Food is good and staff is very nice. I almost always get the chef’s choice 10 piece sushi special and it never disappoints. Last time they gave me a piece of fatty salmon to compare to the regular nigiri and wow what a difference! Best piece of fish I have eaten in a very long time (I need to get out more!)

Gave this place a try recently. Placed my order and had to wait about 30 mins for it to be ready. To be fair, it appeared that they have been working out the kinks since restaurants were allowed to open at minimum capacity. The food was delicious. Better in comparison to other local eateries. If you are in the area, give them a try.

I place a to go order for two lunch boxes for my friend and I. We were impressed with the visual appeal, taste, quality, portion size and pricing. We understand some might think the price is a little high, but considering the amount of food in each lunch special, it was more than worth it and more food than we could eat. We will definitely return for dine in when we have time.

This is our absolute favorite sushi place in the entire South Bay. Everything tastes amazing, especially the salmon sashimi. Wish we lived closer. Would probably eat it weekly, if not more often.
