Great sushi and AMAZING service! One time I was waiting out front on my boba and ice cream from the two stores next to this sushi place, this lovely old couple that works at the sushi shop said hi to my puppy. She even fed my puppy some chicken and surprised him with some fresh grilled salmon! My big puppy felt some loved by her. The man even brought us a cup of water for my puppy. That was so sweet and nice of them that I had to come back to support their business! I came during their happy hour special and ordered a few different rolls. I’m surprised by the quality and price of everything. It’s best to call ahead to place your order.

Honestly, we have no idea how this restaurant stays in business! The portions are HUGE for the price and quality is pretty good too. It’s not fancy, down to earth, and nice staff makes you feel welcome. Check out the crazy volcano roll! It’s a massive heap of crab salad on top of a full sized roll. Please stay in business for a long long time because you’re now our favorite sushi spot in San Mateo!

This restaurant is in the heart of downtown San Mateo. I passed by it and noticed the deals they had in their front window. My friend and I decided we would make the effort to try it. They have a happy hour every day from 1 – 3 pm with deals, as well as just everyday cheap pricing. We didn’t have super high hopes, as the food was super cheap. We ordered three rolls: California, rainbow, and dragon, and a chicken teriyaki and tempura combo dinner. It came with lettuce and miso soup.

Good sushi and 50% off during happy hour 1pm to 3pm for some items, price can’t be beat! Sushi rice is great, not at all vinegar-heavy like some other places. I can still taste it but I also have a more sensitive palate. Owner is super nice and helpful. Great customer service!

AMAZING staff, food, and prices. They’re really friendly, and the sushi never disappoints. I’m a returning customer for a reason! They’re so accommodating! I definitely enjoy the sushi here. Support small businesses!! This is a place you won’t find often where they give you extra pieces of sashimi and make it a personal experience! Truly a gem.
