My fiance & I went for breakfast on sunday. We had the large menudo. We were seated & given chips & salsa. The salsa was spicy but it was really good, I saved one of the salsas for my menudo. The menudo was served with your choice of bread or tortillas. Dont miss out on getting the buttered bread with your menudo, highly recommend. The menudo was flavorful & tasty. The atmosphere was busy, alot of orders being called out but it’s a nice place to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.

This place has excellent New Mexico food. Primary business here is them making tortillas, but the restaurant is amazing! We were visiting from out of town, and sure wish this place was closer to where we live.

Delicious, fresh, local, authentic! This is the real deal! Best Mexican food I’ve found in the area. Traditional dishes with all the famous desserts – flan, churros, biscochitos, empanadas, and even Mexican coke! My relleno was the best I’ve ever had. My server was excellent. They sell out of some baked goods through the day. The dining area is very casual with about 10 tables.

It was a little confusing. We didn’t know if we had order at the counter or if they were taking orders. The food was very good. We will definitely be back

This place always has good food. I personally like the combo appetizers plate, the taco salad, or the combination plate. It can be kinda expensive but the plates are bigger than my face. Also they still give free salsa and chips. That’s a plus.

Servers are not friendly, they make you get your own creamer instead of bringing it to you as they bring your coffee or drinks as you asked for it. The front of the house is clean and tidy, restrooms are clean. The food is delicious, big portions to get your money’s worth and they don’t skimp on the meat, very flavorful dishes.

Today (06/18/2022) at approximately 2:01pm I called in a takeout order for my family. Upon calling The Dona Maria restaurant for my order I was greeted by a female with poor customer service. During the conversation her choice of words felt neglectful, her tone was condescending and she didn’t give me a total and did not properly confirm my order. When I arrived at the restaurant my order was not ready because she forgot the beans and rice and the cost was also significantly more expensive then advertised on the menu (I suppose that’s because inflation) but it would have been nice to have been advised of the price change. When I get home to feed my family we discovered that the menudo did not come with any oregano or cilantro even tho I specifically requested that be included and also instead of the Tripa tacos we got Chicharones tacos. I called the restaurant to notify and get my order corrected and was greeted by the same individual who then claimed that management was not on duty. I explained the situation and she advised me that my order was correct and that I thought I had chicharones because my tripa was overcooked. I asked why I was served overcooked food and she told me she didn’t know and asked if would like something else and I told her I would like the Asada instead she advised me it would be ready when I arrived and when I arrived she told me that I couldn’t possibly get chicharone tacos because they didn’t serve that even though it’s written on menu and they only give exchanges if I brought back the other food. I understand the reasoning but I feel that should have been made a point during the phone call. I don’t feel like driving back into Farmington from Flora Vista so i’m gonna give up right here. I’m really disappointed with the way things turned out because they have a decent menudo but not at the price of my respect.

My daughter always talks about the menudo here so I decided to try it out. It was very yummy. I ordered an ice tea with it. I wanted a refill and didn’t get one but …..the menudo was very yummy.

This is a really nice option for Mexican comfort food in Farmington. They have the rather large menu and all of the plates are very well done. Be prepared to order at the window with the option of take-out or dine-in. I very much recommend the Apple empanadas. The flautas were very well done and came with beans and rice.
