Terrible food and customer service . When I walked in I was not greeted at all. I was then given a menu after sitting down. I ordered a smoothie and the server put cinnamon in it. She had no clue if I was allergic or not. I just proceeded to give them a chance as I am new to the area. I ordered a Torta and it was burnt. Then cheese dip was watery. A lady came from the back of the Kitchen and threatned me stating they had been in business for 15years. I really hope that changes come to this restaurant as the setup is really nice. If I could give zero stars I would. There was a girl in there that looked about 12 years old and she was the sweetest out of all of them

Entered the restaurant it was clean and comfortable inside. We ordered 2 queso, 2 wet burritos (I don’t like the beans so I asked for extra rice instead, that didn’t happen despite being ready to pay extra and the waitress agreed she could do). The queso was barely warm, the chips were similar tasting to the Kroger brand. The food came quickly. The wet burritos were full of fatty, greasy, undercooked meats for both the steak and chicken. A watery Verde sauce and flavorless rice. Someone asked if the food was good, but continued to walk by not really wanting an answer. Queso is basically a blob at this point as it was lukewarm when we received it. The Nachos Oscar came and aside from the round, school lunch chips and canned nacho sauce that tasted like metal, they were the redeeming part of the meal. We left 95% uneaten and asked for the check. The cashier was informed that the meal was left mostly uneaten and absolutely unsatisfactory and she laughed, handed us our 55 dollar bill, and that was that. We left our food, uneaten on the table, mentioned it was not a positive experience and it was completely ignored. Great atmosphere but that was about it.

I gave it a 3 because the woman who waited on us took good care of us. The food was very bland. Had the steak fajitas and it was was under seasoned l, if seasoned at all. Prices were reasonable. The portion size was good. Atmosphere was good. Chips were decent (possibly store bought), but the salsa was very bland and too much tomato vs other ingredients. Beer was good, you can usually can tell when they don’t clean their lines and I didn’t find that here. I might go back and try something else, but friend also thought his meal was bland so that’s discouraging.

Had to ask for chips and Salsa! For this place being real mexican food it was disappointing. I love eating mexican food but not this one . Food was dry , didn’t have a good taste to any of it . Won’t be back

I have always loved Johann Mexican Grill. I usually order the 3 steak combo with rice and beans. Best authentic tacos, hands down! We did have to pay for the chips and salsa, but reasoning likely due to price hikes. Husband enjoys eating here, as well. We love this place and will be back!

Let me help the first timers like we were tonight. When you walk in, just find a seat. There was no sign posted and it took a few seconds for the only waitress to come out of the kitchen to tell us this. Now on to the food. It was absolutely top notch! Pictured is the wet burrito I had. I will NEVER have another one at Hacienda. If you’re a fan of sweat tea, this isn’t the place in my opinion. The waitress was very nice and quick to get our order and bring our dinner out. Refills on drinks took sometime but not a biggie. Out of all the mexican places I’ve been to in town, this was by far the best!

I wasn’t holding out much hope for good Mexican food in Indiana, but Tortas Johann was a pleasant surprise for this Texas boy, easily the best Mexican restaurant within 100 mile radius. The tortillas were even homemade!

My first time there. The food was really good. But I ordered 4 tamales and when we got home there were only 2 in the bag. What we DID receive was excellent though. They closed before I got home, I called and left a voicemail. Definitely will be going back again. The 2 girls up front were really nice, they renew my faith in customer service. It’s a shame that more restaurants cannot have this quality of waitresses.
