Torchy’s Tacos was founded in 2006 in Austin, Texas, when a man with a dream bought a food trailer and a vibrant red Vespa. Mike Rypka, founder of Torchy’s Tacos, built a menu out of experimental tacos that were coined by fans as “Damn Good.” By living the Damn Good mantra, Torchy’s Tacos is always innovating to deliver the most unique tacos, award-winning queso and refreshing margaritas in the taco game, including the Taco of the Month, an untraditional taco offering that keeps our taco fans coming back for more.

I ordered through the app and had a great experience. The food was ready on time and even though a taco was missing (I found out when I got back home), I called and the manager apologized, refunded me the taco, and sent me an email for a free taco!

It is rare that I visit a restaurant that goes above and beyond the way Torchy’s did today. Especially rare for a brand new restaurant to this area! Everyone, from the cashiers (Mary took my order with a smile!) to the bartender to manager Bill Graff was outstanding. Everyone looked happy to be there!

A great taco spot! The options are endless (even for pickier family members) and everything is delicious. The GM and the entire staff were super friendly. The place was clean, service was quick and we found out everything is made fresh daily. They even open at 9 a.m. for mimosas and breakfast burritos. We will definitely be back 🙂

A welcome change from the typical burger place offering a wide variety of appealing street tacos, burritos and related plates. The food is made with fresh ingredients and service is prompt and friendly. Also a good drinks menu with tasty margaritas. There is both indoor and outdoor seating… nice since I like eating outdoors weather permitting.

We tried the Midlothian location for the first time this evening. Upon arriving the GM Bill met us at the door and graciously explained the restaurants concept and recommended various tacos to try.. of which we order five flavors ALL were delicious! Even the house margaritas were flavorful not overly sweet and syrupy like most house margaritas. The service of our items were prompt and correct. We will definitely visit this spot again.
