We’re always looking for the perfect pizza and our search brought us to Topshelf. So we ordered our usual deluxe. Now, I get it that pizza lovers have varying tastes so this is only my impression. We were told 20 mins and it was right on 20 mins. Opening the box for the big reveal found an excellent looking pie. Toppings were plentiful and well distributed.. good quality toppings at that. Here’s where personal tastes come in. The crust had the appearance of a good ol’ homemade crust with what I call a delicious “char” on the edges. My wife’s term is “burnt” and wasn’t as appealing to her. One thing we did agree on was the sauce. It initially tasted like made from fresh tomatoes.. just with no salt. Actually would have been a huge improvement with a bit of salt, oregano, and pepper. We did noticed that the next day leftovers had improved the flavor of the sauce after marrying the flavors of the pepperoni and sausage.

Being that this place is new. I really was blowing away with the excellent food. I got a #11 which was very balanced in bread which was air and fluffy. The balance of meat and vegetables. Thank you for the great mushrooms and Sub.

Always loved Topshelf in the Muskegon area and I’m so happy that you guys have come to Grand Haven. Great food, Great service, Family friendly. Pictured is a Chef salad, no mushroom, add black olives and crispy chicken. I’d give it 10 stars if I could! Thanks again!

We tried this new joint on a whim and it totally exceeded our expectations! Really really great pizza! Loaded with generous toppings with the perfect amount of sauce on too of an AMAZING buttery crust. Definitely has a dive vibe but don’t be deceived. The quality of food and service was exceptional. While there is little atmosphere outside a TV, the food and service was excellent. Plenty of pizza toppings and good crust. Happily surprised when we got it home and it was delicious. The true test of a pizza is the next day, cold from the ‘fridge. It passed with flying colors. Fairly priced and very prompt. I’ll be back. Thanks.

Took a chance and tried Top Shelf…should have stuck with the pizza. Ordered three gyros, three drinks, mushrooms and fries. The atmosphere was sparse, don’t think they really want you to dine in…mushrooms were frozen nothing special, the gyros were cold and dry, very little tomato or onion. When they brought our food we had to ask for silverware, napkins and condiments.

I got the the egg rolls, cheese curds, and a small 3 topping pizza for around $20! And everything was delicious! Love the pizza crust, it’s crispy and perfect! I also love their ranch. And on a Friday night where everyone else as slammed, i got my food in about 20 mins!
