To be completely transparent, we did not try anything on the menu, except for the prickly pear swirl ice cream, with the lemon topping. It was delicious! The other surprising thing was the price. $3.50 for a uniquely Arizona treat they could easily sell for five or six dollars. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and informative. They had lots of seating in the shade on the side and behind the little shack. We will definitely go back.

It was National Burrito Day and I had high expectations for a great burrito to celebrate the day. Topo opened a couple of years ago but had never had a chance to visit. I figured since we enjoy Joe’s BBQ that Topo would not disappoint. Not the case today.

Only came for the soft serve! Had prickly pear with lime dip – it was a LOT. I love sweets but it was toothache sweet. I probably should have just got the prickly pear. The lime dip is like a white chocolate base so I think that’s why too sweet for me.

You MUST try the prickly pear soft serve ice cream! It is to die for! You can get it by itself or in a twist with vanilla. I got mine with vanilla because I wasn’t sure what the prickly pear flavor would be, but wished I would have just got the prickly pear. It really is delicious!

The Chicken Topo Loco burrito is the best burrito I have had in my entire life! I think it’s purely takeout since its basically a booth restaurant, but there are some nice outside tables to go to if you don’t mind the AZ weather. The Prickly pear ice cream was fun to try too! I recomend the lime dip with it. Great date night!

We absolutely love grabbing a dipped soft serve cone from Topo whenever we’re in downtown Gilbert. The prickly pear and vanilla swirl with lime dip is the best! Our kids call it the “Creepy Beaver” due to the huge beaver who has eyes that light up after dark…

Delicious street corn and dipped ice cream! The outdoor seating area is very kid friendly and fun. Fair pricing. The girl that took our order at the window was kind and courteous, even gave the kids a sticker 🙂 Will definitely be returning.

Topo is not much for an extensive menu, but as long as you enjoy burritos with chicken or pork, you should be good. It’s simplicity may be just part of its charm. I would highly recommend stopping by for a prickly pear ice cream dipped in lime. We got it as a swirl (with vanilla ice cream). I don’t think you will be disappointed.
