I order jerk chicken and asked that the rice be replaced with Rasta pasta. When I got it, it was just Rasta pasta. I was told the jerk chicken was inside Rasta pasta but the chicken tasted like chicken noodle soap chicken at best. The Rasta pasta was bland, it tasted like a Martha Stewart. $18 for this. I called and told her about the mix up and nothing was done.

This is my first time at this New Caribbean Restaurant (Topey’s Kitchen)on Fenkell Ave Detroit, I ordered the Jerky Chicken with Red Beans and Rice With Cabbage! I was very excited to try this new restaurant. This restaurant is awful. The chicken taste like Grease and Very Weird Taste,No Cabbage, they replace cabbage with just Bell peppers and onions!!!!!! By the way the Bell peppers is Undercooked and hard.That’s not Cabbage! I would never eat here again or recommend any of my friends or family to eat here. Don’t lose your money and be so disappointed. I returned to the location with the food and spoke with the owner who just argued with me. The owner just continuously tell me we don’t use Grease with our chicken!!! FYI “ i’m a 26 year old African-American male living in the city of Detroit.I think I know if my chicken tastes very very weird and greasy which it do. Don’t taste Nothing like any of the Great Caribbean restaurant like the Caribbean Kitchen on W. McNichols/6 mile. I wish I could’ve checked this restaurant reviews before I ordered and wasted my money but you win some you lose some but this one is awful. Stay away!
