Tope La restaurant was founded in 1999 on Morrison Boulevard. After establishing itself in Hammond, the owners moved the location in 2001 to Cate Street, where it currently resides. Co-owned by Tommy Masaracchia and Jimmy Hebert, Tope La has been an active part of the Hammond community for 16 years. From food donations for charity events to sponsoring many community affairs and teams, Tope La prides itself on giving back to the community.

The food has always been great and the servers have been attentive but be sure to free up your schedule. The time between ordering food and having it arrive to the table should not be over an hour long. A club sandwich shouldn’t take an hour and half to make. This has happened multiple times. No clue what’s going on but get it together.

Always a treat. Great drinks and even better food. The appetizer sampler is worth it and a lot of food. Great French 75s. Everything we have ordered from here has been delicious. Crab cakes were some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s my favorite place on the north shore.
