Went to Tookes for the second time this year. Their food has changed some. They smoke the meat really well but it still needs more seasoning. I will say they give you enough food for what you pay. The sides were the best thing I’ve tasted in awhile, especially the mac and cheese.

This is quite unlike any other restaurant I’ve been to. It’s VERY rustic, VERY old fashioned. But the food is excellent and the former owner, Mr. Tooke, is a cool guy too. If you’re in the mood for ribs, this is not a bad place at all.

This is a small place very old on the inside and outside. The guy in the back was smoking (vaping) while making food. The food was good not great but good. The Mac and cheese could be better. The ribs were good beside my food wasn’t hot temperature wise. This place has so much potential & prices are a bit high for mediocre quality food.

The place is nice it gives old school country vibes. The guy at the counter was very nice and friendly yet I was disappointed with my food even though the portions were big. The meat says bb que but it tasted like it had been in oven and then a microwave, the Mac n cheese was bad, the beans was out of a can , the sausage link they gave us was just a darn “country style” and the potato salad was the only thing that tasted like something.

It’s ok… my chicken wasn’t as tender as I’d expect for “smoked.” The macaroni and cheese was salty. The collards had a sweet tang but a little hot sauce helps. The ribs were ok though. Portion was adequate. Underwhelming. Overall I prefer BBQ Master’s particularly for the chicken and sides.

I came on a Thursday right after they opened. Service was fast and friendly. I had the smoke sausage link sandwich. It tasted way better than I ever imagined. The potato salad was delicious as well. The lemonade tasted okay but I typically just drink water at restaurants anyway. My total was $11 and some change. I paid $15 and left 🙂 The mac and cheese could have been better…I don’t know, I just like my Mac and Cheese to be cheesy… I will definitely be back here!

Literally just ordered the best BBQ I’ve ever had! I got the pulled pork sandwich and this was massive I’m a big guy and couldn’t finish it and the flavor was just incredible my wife got the ribs and they literally melt off the bone… 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some real good food.

A friend or two told me that the food was great, so I went to try it. It was ok but could have been better. The pulled pork was chopped undercooked pork, the baked beans was out of the can, the Mac was bland , potatoe salad was runny. The only thing I liked was the cake and the sweet potato pies and oh yeah the friendly service. I spent almost $50 for nothing.

My first time visiting this hidden gem and all I can say is so delicious! My husband and I tried the rib dinner and pulled pork sandwich with fries. Everything was so good! We will definitely be back.
