My husband and I ordered sandwiches.. corned beef and pastrami were extremely fatty and tough, Rye bread was stale. Food is not fit for human consumption. We have been dining at this Toojays locations (near Town Center Mall) since its inception. Restaurant needs to shut its doors.. poor excuse for a Toojays. We will not return and recommend our family and friends to STAY AWAY.

Felt taken advantage of here. The 13.99 turkey sandwich was pathetic. We had asked for them to do a hot Turkey sandwich. They microwaved they turkey with the bread and it was soggy as could be. Very disappointed 🙁 as you can see from the photos the sandwich is lacking.

Not sure why there are so many iffy reviews on this restaurant. My family and I dined here a week ago and everything was beyond our expectations. It was a Thursday, late afternoon, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It’s quite a roomy restaurant. Nick, our server, was very pleasant and attentive. He provided us with top notch service. We ordered the mini potato pancakes for starters and I had a cup of matzo ball soup. All delicious. There were 8 pancakes and everyone enjoyed them. Two of us had wraps which were very fresh. I had the turkey avocado. It was yum. Avocado was beautifully green and perfect. Turkey was so good…not anything like another reviewer described. They were great size wraps too. Two others had the corned beef on rye which was also excellent. One had the patty melt and fries which he enjoyed. We couldn’t say one bad thing about this place. Lots of sandwiches, salads and entrees to choose from. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a decent casual meal. If you want quicker service maybe try it on a weekday later in the afternoon. They will be ready and waiting!

The food is pretty consistent. This was a tough day for us to have been there. They were understaffed and the restaurant was pretty busy. Our server warned us ahead of time. That was very smart of her to do since she set up proper expectations. We were in no rush so we didn’t mind the delay. There were other people walking out because either they were not warned or they just got fed up with the wait. They missed out

I would like to say that Tom is the rudest, most obnoxious waiter that I have encountered in a long while. We were seated in his section, unfortunately, and had been seated for quite a while without anyone taking our drink or food order. I saw him attending to several other tables, so I got up, approached him, and very quietly asked “is someone going to take our order”? He turned around, and yelling at the top of his lungs in front of the entire restaurant, exclaimed “I’m coming! That was so rude of you to approach me while I was leaving from another table. I told you I’d be over soon.” Not only did he never tell us he’d be over soon, but he never even came to the table after the initial seating. I was so upset after that, that I was fighting back tears and could not enjoy my lunch. Additionally , because he never approached our table initially, when I got up to speak with him, I wasn’t even sure that he was our waiter because he was the one that sat us….which is why I asked if anyone would be over to take our order. That brings up another point: why on earth would Tom be seating people with his offensive personality? Not only did he not even greet us when we came in, but he acted like he was doing us a big favor by seating us. I love the food at Toojay’s, which is always consistent, but I will never again visit this location. And to be honest, I can’t understand why someone like Tom is getting paid to “serve” the public.

Went for breakfast today and was extremely disappointed! Food looked to be leftover that were reheated…I asked for toasted bagel with butter and it came out burnt and hard. I am a foodie and eat out all the time and this by far has been the worst experience in a very, very long time. The corn beef hash was def reheated, full of grease and almost burnt like. the potatoes were cold as well. We did not want to argue so we just asked for our bill, paid and left without eating. Went to Mcdonald’s instead and got a nice fresh hot meal. Crazy!

Stopped in at 12:30 and place was pretty empty. Waiter was pleasant but never refilled my coffee or brought me a spoon to stir my coffee. I ordered the Ultimate omelette and mini potato pancakes. My order came and the omelette was very dry (overcooked) and the potato things were cooked to a crisp thru and thru. I couldn’t cut them with a knife.

God awful, incompetent waiter……(thought he might be new, but same waiter got a 1 Star review FOUR MONTHS AGO) ……worse is that with new management, the whole TooJays vibe has changed. Definitely no longer a Jewish Deli feel. Menu has been decimated along with the portions! Scoops of anything are now the size of large mellon balls! Just not worth the trip anymore…. apparently others agree. Sunday morning used to be packed, now at one-third capacity……goes along with 25% price increases for 1/3rd less food served by totally untrained staff…..and not just this location either. Used to love going to a TooJays.. now its just time to go ANYWHERE else!!
