Mike Scotto, like every Italian young man, started cooking at age five. He began helping his mother prepare dinner for his family of 6, and later at the age of 16 decided to leave school and pursue his dream of becoming a professional chef. Mike worked throughout Italy and over seas on boats to expand his culinary expertise. A few years later, Mikes experiences and travels landed him in New York City. It was a snowy winter day, a rare sight for an Italian native. A metropolitan bus dropped him in the heart of Chinatown wearing nothing but flip flops and a t-shirt. His next destination was New Hyde Park, Long Island. Home to the famous Umberto’s Pizzeria & Restaurant.

Little fast food place on the corner great prices great food I had the short rib Peter Luger taco which was very interesting it was very good My wife had the steak supreme tacos that were excellent according to her I also had the Polo supreme which was very good could have used a little more hot sauce and a little more sour cream but the meat flavors excellent can’t beat the prices great little place to get a quick bite to eat for a good price. Only gave it a three-star for atmosphere because it’s not really a restaurant it’s you know more of a fast food.

Had been wanting to visit for a while, finally did and it was so worth it! Had a margarita which was well worth the price and 2 tacos; the Peter Luger short rib and the pulled pork. They were both delicious! Will be back to try the other options.

So many delicious and unique tacos to choose from. The octopus taco special is a must try if you like octopus. There are a couple of tables inside and out but it’s geared more for a take out experience.

I cannot speak more highly of this place. We just left, I think the man’s name was Jay, I was holding my one year old and she was INLOVE with him, he told me to come inside and download the app to save $5, he knew I was having trouble holding her, he came over with crayons and stayed with her to color. The food is easily a TEN star tacos, I got all different ones, 6 of them. I cannot thank that one man enough for the impeccable service. I live in massapequa and can’t wait to come drive the 30 minutes for another amazing taco and for my little girl to see him again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

The best food I’ve ever eaten! I lived in Huntington for 2 months and this was my favourite place to go! The food for vegetarians was amazing, and the range of food and drinks as a whole were fantastic! The people who work in the store were so kind and friendly and always made us feel welcome!
