only Chinese place I ever ordered from that isn’t sure what chicken chow mein is- a person orders take out so they don’t have to wait -2 times in a row (the only 2 times I will ever be there )they made chicken lo mein-said “please wait-so sorry “- first time I waited – 2nd time I walked out people are on their lunch breaks – get your act together- last owner would burn their egg rolls maybe the building is cursed because the place still stinks new owners paint job and all-chow mein vs lo mein yeeeesh

I have a gluten allergy and I let the staff know and they made gluten free options for me and even had some gluten free soy sauce that they gave me with my order! Very friendly family owned restaurant!! Always will be coming here

When we left the city, we were worried that we’d miss our Chinese food take out, but we discovered Golden House right away. It’s a local, family owned great place with very friendly service. We often call to compliment them, or give feedback, and we always tip. Even on takeout folks. We were not surprised that they made improvements to our favorite dishes. And they do run and very tidy, well kept kitchen and foster a culture of hospitality. And if you want a recommendation, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce #74 is by far the best we’ve had. And we throw in some pork lo mein and couple pork egg rolls, and you’re set. Great take out night. So glad they’re here! SAndy

Called in our order of spring rolls, sesame chicken, garlic chicken, and a pint of house lo mien (has chicken, shrimp, pork, etc). A very nice person answered the phone and took the order.

I was working nearby and ordered food to pick up exactly fried rice with wings. the place is very very untidy and disgusting i but even the food, i didn’t get to eat anything the rice was bathing in oil like the chicken wings.

Worst (american assumed real, but not really)Chinese food restaurant I have ever seen, the service is not great, the place is not very clean, they expect a tip for pick up service, and the same dish never tastes the same twice and still all versions are not very good. I go to pawling to get Chinese food, next to KFC.
