Tony York’s On Main is a wonderful restaurant. It is a small, but quaint little place that you must experience for yourself. It sets in a small little town in Glendale, Kentucky. We were greeted by the owner when we arrived. Very nice man. We enjoyed talking to him. It looks like a casual little place on the outside, but when you walk in it is very elegant. There are linens on the tables, and they are set very exquisite looking. My adult son and I went to celebrate his birthday. They even sang happy birthday to him as the owner played the Happy Birthday song on the piano! They even gave him a free dessert. The food was excellent!! Our salads were so fresh it seemed like they picked the vegetables from a garden that morning. The waitress was very sweet, and worked very hard to make sure we were pleased with everything. This is a very special place for us now. My son will be taking me back on my birthday in August. I can’t wait!! ❤️❤️

We stopped in for lunch twice last week and really expressed by this establishment! With the white tablecloth environment you expect high prices and a snootie atmosphere but it was nothing of the sort! The painting all around of local artist and the friendliness of the staff and owner will make you feel right at home!! And it’s cheaper than the other popular local restaurant that’s in the area (that is always too full to get into)! We are here for work and stay in Etown. This is a place I would drive to even on days off!!

Great meal for our family on Father’s Day!!! I always enjoy a meal at Tony’s. The food service and atmosphere are top notch!!! For dessert I had the chocolate ganache cake and it was best chocolate cake I have ever had!!!!

Always the best. Tony knocked it out of the park today with a homemade macaroni salad with fresh vegetables. The Philly cheese steak was tasty and the fried green tomatoes will take you back to grandmas house. We sat on the porch for lunch with light music playing in the background. It was a lovely lunch at a favorite restaurant. Jasmine our waitress was so kind and we enjoyed talking with.

It was an okay place. Way to fancy for regular lunch. Only 3 of us were in the restaurant at 11:30, but they were getting ready for a group of 30. So we ordered fried green tomatoes, but didn’t get them. Like I said it was okay place, probably wont be returning.

We came to Glendale to eat at the Whistle Stop, but found ourselves at Tony’s instead. It was a very pleasant surprise. We started with the tomato basil soup and it was enjoyable if not a little floral. The glazed meatloaf and fried chicken breast were recommended to us and we tried both. They were wonderful. Both were served with mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit. We chose the multi-decker coconut cake for dessert to share. Very tasty. The prices were reasonable, and Riley was attentive and personable in her service. The interior is understated elegant with several lovely art prints.

The owner, Tony, is just about the nicest guy you’ll meet and his little hometown restaurant is the real deal. With recipes that his mama used to make and some other Kentucky favorites, this is a place you’re going to want to stop and eat at if you’re in the area.
