Food is pretty good and authentic in flavors. They give good portions- expect to spend if you like sides like Breadfruit or bammy…it adds up quick. Some days the service is ehhh as you will be waiting to even be acknowledged- this sucks when you waited behind someone being served only to go up and hear “we don’t have that today”.

This is a pretty good spot for lunch. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. Last time I was here I enjoyed a Jamaican beef patty and a medium jerk chicken chicken. They have a pretty good jerk chicken it’s not the best I ever had. The chicken was a little dry but it was very tasty. The Jamaican beef patty was very good though. The beef patty was super flaky and buttery and savory. This place is a solid spot and I would go back.

I’ve gotten food here a few times. It’s one of the better Jamaican Restaurants on LI. I got two orders of ox tail the other day for the first time and they were literally nothing but fat. Wish I had looked at them before I left. For $24 per plate you’d think there would actually be meat. I won’t write them off completely but stay away from the ox tail or at least check it before you leave.

This place is ghetto and ratchet. They open late, so the 8:30 am time is wrong. The woman in the front is disgusting and has no manners. I’ve been there about four times, and she gets worse every time. I cannot understand why Caribbean establishments feel that they are not obligated to provide good customer service. That’ll be the last time I go back. Porridge isn’t worth the disrespect from a cashier I’d rather have good customer service with oatmeal.

Great breakfast. I ordered ackee and saltfish with all the provisions. And added salt mackerel cuz I like more salt fish, be careful of the small bones in the mackerel. Well worth the price, my daughter tried some and asked me to get it again the next day. Never had it with sweet plantains too. Mmm so good thinking about it now. I usually go there for the red pea soup which is also my favorite!

This spot is not too far from my house and what a nice surprise this was! I’ve passed it a few times going to other places up the block, but didn’t try till today. It’s Super clean, relatively small spot for a quick pick up and go breakfast of fish dumplings and corn porridge for breakfast! Please go down the block to the other place. I just paid $39 for 2 LARGE meals and they were really what every other restaurant sells as MEDIUM. Of course, I did not know this was the case until it was too late. Also, the sign says they accept every credit card but they don’t so beware. Also, the roll was stale.

Best Jamaican spot in the hood. Love their oxtail and curry goat! Lunch special prices are fantastic. They even have cow feet and curried chicken feet time to time.
