Solid sit down Thai in an area that is dominated by local Mexican restaurants. Tong definitely has some Thai dishes that you’re not familiar with and I encourage you to try them. We had 4 dishes that were all tasty and will def return again when I’m not in the mood for the excellent tacos places in the area.

Great little place! Authentic (and spicy) Thai food, super attentive and friendly service, and nice atmosphere. Probably the best Thai food I’ve had in the city. Solid choice in this part of Brooklyn.

REAL Thai spicy so make sure you ask your server to adjust if you can’t take the heat. Loved everything my 2 visits here with some Thai dishes that aren’t as common to find in nyc. Don’t miss the clamato cocktail!!!

First of all, it’s a gorgeous modern industrial space. The servers were so sweet- they even gave us free shots at the end of the night. The cocktails are deliciously high quality, some of the best in Bushwick for sure. The Thai food was authentic, spicy, and super flavorful. I highly recommend the oysters and octopus.

Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcome. There is something on the menu for just about everyone and the chef is able to accommodate some food allergens as needed. I appreciate that meals come with a side of sweet savory taro fritters and dipping sauce to accompany it during lunch hours. The Som Tum Thai (Green papaya, peanut, cherry tomato, lime, long beans, dried shrimp, chili) as is has a good amount of kick to it. For those who prefer more heat, don’t hesitate to request it be prepare with more chilis. I also ordered Pad Cha Talay, a stir fried entree made with shrimp, squid, mussel, bamboo, eggplant, kaffir lime leaf, peppercorn, and krachai which is paired with a side of rice). Portion sizes of entrees here can easily feed two or one depending on level of hunger. The proteins and vegetables were cut, cooked, and plated well. My eyes were able to feast before my belly. I’ll definitely be back to try other menu items like the Grilled Octopus and Khao Soi (Northern style curry with egg noodle, chicken leg, shallot, preserved mustard green, cilantro).

I’ve been meaning to try Tong for awhile but hadn’t gotten around to it. I was surprised to see it available for delivery so I gave it a shot and ordered the khao soi and taro fritters. When it arrived the first thing I noticed was that it was super well packed, which I really appreciated.

I enjoyed every single dish I ordered, but the curry was the star of the show. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was really wonderfully presented and delicious. Note: some dishes are spicy! I think this restaurant is great to have a couple drinks and some appetizers before going out for the night. My friend and I did just that before heading over to House of Yes and it was the perfect start to the night. The service was also amazing and everyone there was very sweet and attentive.
