Ordered two hot dogs both buns were as hard and stale the hot dog seem like they were a week old and the manager was horrible! Will never go there again. Also noticed the guy who is putting the relish onions on the hot dogs had no gloves on was just using his bare hands!!!! Gross!!!!

Tommy’s is an all American restaurant chain with locations throughout McHenry county Illinois. The menu consists of pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, pasta dishes, Submarine Sandwich, chili bowls, chicken sandwiches, Gyros, Philly Steak, Garden Salad, BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Shrimp Dinner, and some of the finest roast beef sandwiches all of which are very good. Today I visited the Woodstock location at 500 S Eastwood Drive. The restaurant is clean and bright, with big windows letting in plenty of sunshine. The staff is pleasant and responsive to your needs. I ordered my personal favorite, the roast beef sandwiches, with green peppers and Mozzarella cheese. I requested my sandwiches be “dunked” as that’s the way I prefer it. I also ordered a side of fried onion rings, and the order was takeout. As all ways, the meal was GREAT. Growing up in Chicago for most of my adult life, I have enjoyed roast beef sandwiches from Al’s Beef, Buena Beef, and Portillo’s and Tommy’s ranks up with them. The sandwich was BIG and satisfy my hunger appetite even though I skipped breakfast, and it was nearly two P.M. I eat at Tommy’s because the quality is consistent, price is fair for what you buy. and and the food is good. Tommy’s is my favorite American food restaurant since moving to McHenry county some 15 years ago.

Went to lunch here today and was impressed with the service. Friendly employees consciously trying to appreciate their customers. The food is good and Prices are fair compared to most other fast food places. Will be back again. Never have a bad experience here.

First time here they have good food for the price. Staff is very friendly, Tuesdays they have the foot long polish special and the Oreo cheesecake bar was delicious. Will definitely be back and they have different locations too.

Worst Italian beef with cheese & grilled onions I have ever had. Asked for jus on side. That did not happen. The sandwich fell apart as I tried to eat it. Bread was wet and ended up throwing most of beef away as sandwich was almost inedible. Onion rings hard and no taste again almost inedible. Threw some out. 1st time in 30 yrs living out here I went to this Tommy’s in Woodstock . After paying almost $20 for this mess very frustrating. I am a disabled senior on a fixed income.

Went on 3/6/20 and glad their back open! Food is always decent Tommy’s fare. Not sure how I feel yet about the stainless everything… Doesn’t look as ‘local’ and lived in as pre-remodel. But hey, mostly just picked up for home anyways.

Not happy at all with quality of service. The young man running the register asked me three times. I patiently repeated it. He still got it wrong. No jus on the side, no waffle fries and gave me hot peppers when I specifically said no peppers. When I called to complain, the manager said he would make me another order of Italian beef and waffle fries. But I would have to come in and pick it up! it is three degrees outside, so no. They deliver. He should have offered to deliver the order for free. Not sure I will be returning.

I have been here twice since moving into the area. I have ordered Chicago style hot dogs both times and both times the buns are so soggy it doesn’t even stay together. A hotdog should not be soggy so either a the buns are stale and steamed to much or your just steaming to long. The staff is Awesome always friendly when I been in their. I won’t go back for hotdogs again.

Woodstock Location.. First time going here. I had Chicken fingers (Hard as a Rock) Not edible. & Other person had Cheesy Italian beef. W seasoned Waffle Fries They said it was Great. Looked great. Ate the other persons fries cause my chicken fingers wer hard as a rock. So 1 Meal w drink & just 4 chicken fingers total was 27dollars‼️‼️ I was shocked. They never gave a receipt. The kid working there looked miserable.
