I had reviewed this place back in May 2011 and gave them the benefit of the doubt on service as they were new. The food on our first visit was great. On a few visits since, it has been very hit and miss, as you can see by the reviews. They seem to be out of a few things on the menu at any given time. Service can be much better. It seems to be more and more of a bar hangout than a place serious about serving food.

My wife and I stopped by one evening for dinner. They were moderately busy. No one greeted us so we found a vacant table and sat down. After ten minutes and no one even bothering to make eye contact with us, I was beginning to second guess our decision. Ten more minutes went by and we had no drinks and no menu. We hadn’t even been acknowledged. A man from a table behind me got up and with his menu in hand approached an employee behind the bar and he was upset. We left. No one noticed.

Can’t imagine the previous reviews being accurate. Maybe they went on really busy days. We had two of the best meals there. The brisket was great and the fish taco was the biggest and best we’ve had. The bread pudding for dessert was FABULOUS. It’s a really cute place with a great menu….ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, burgers, even sushi and sashimi. Lots of good apps, too, including wings and nachos. The outdoor tiki bar has fun tropical setting. The prices were very good, and the staff was super friendly. We loved it.

Worst service I have ever received in a restaurant…ever. I have worked hospitality for years so I understand how businesses can get busy and errors do occur. However, my fiancé and I waited for two hours and did not receive food. Other couples around us all received their food and finished their meals before we even received our appetizer. When our appetizer finally came, we just asked for the check so we could leave. The waitress gave us a receipt that was not ours, and gave us attitude when we wanted it fixed. She lied about issues involving the receipt and proceeded to help other people before fixing our issue. We were also the only hispanic couple in the restaurant, and were repeatedly denied our wishes every time we asked for help.
