Found Tommy’s on Google, we drove 1 hour to eat here. Reviews were great, pictures looked awesome. Location was very cool, right in the waterfront. They share the inside with another food establishment and a bar. Very open and very friendly. Food was ordered and it came within 5min. 1st food impression, looks and smelled delicious. We got the 3meat combo (2 brisket and ribs with mac and cheese and potato salad)and added the sweet corn and a Key Lime piece slice and banana something cake slice. Brisket was awesome, it had great color and great flavor, ribs were well done, rub was sweet and spicy and the sauce added another layer of flavor. Tommy the owner is a passionate pit master, he took a few minutes to talk to a bbq geek. Thank you for those few minutes, I appreciate that. Tommy’s BBQ should be a place for you, try it all, the loaded potato is a must, loaded is the a perfect description.

Loaded nacho was pretty amazing. We ordered two meat plate, and rib’s and brisket were juicy and tender but too much sauce and a little bit too salty. Side dishes were plain.

Links are the best. The sides are okay but not my favorite, the potato salad needs a little mustard. The potato with pulled chicken is so good, you can eat the skin!

Plates come with your choice of two sides. I had a 2-meat plate which consisted of pork ribs, brisket, potato salad, and mac and cheese. Very tasty meal. Some reviews have commented that the food is expensive. It’s all relative. The portion size for my meal was enough to feed two people, or in my case, lunch and dinner, so I thought the cost was on point. I have no hesitations recommending this place.

I have the pleasure of working with my dad and we come here for lunch some Fridays. Every time we eat here (2 meat ribs/brisket w beans & potato salad) it makes our day! Thanks Tommy for being that place for us.

I’ve paid $20 for many mediocre meals in the Bay Area… this was NOT one of them! Ribs are awesome, BBQ sauce spot on, fresh coleslaw & Mac and Cheese. Generous portions and super friendly staff. Plus, they’re located in a beautiful, historic spot near Point Richmond. Make sure to go during the right hours. Highly recommend!

For $30.72 you get 4 fatty pork ribs SWIMMING in sauce, some fatty but tasty pulled pork with skin and all, baked beans swimming in sauce, and some dynamite potato salad. Not repeatable unless you count belching. Maybe ask for sauce on the side?
