I contacted Tommy’s BBQ requesting they cater a memorial service for my husband. When I went in with my granddaughters the owners were so helpful and friendly. I ordered brisket and sides for 40 people. Additionally we ordered plates to take with us; the ribs and brisket were wonderful, as were the green beans and mac and cheese casserole. They did tell me that they provide more brisket per person than most places.

We had an amazing lunch on our way through town. The sausage was amazing (we can’t get this kind of food in Alabama); cabbage and black eyed peas were perfectly cooked and FRESH FROM THE OVEN peach cobbler!!!! We also had a delightful visit with the owner- definitely on our list for the next trip here.

Wish we could give it ten stars for the fried catfish alone! The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. The cornbread fresh from the oven. Side dishes were just as tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor was fun. Great service. Just wished we lived closer.

I was trying to decide what to get and Tommy said ‘best ribs you’ve ever had in your life’. He might have been right! Some of the sides were great too, the Mac n cheese was light and fluffy. Great atmosphere, not fancy, great folks. Definitely a great place to go!

Tommy’s has some of the best ribs I’ve had in years. They are tender and just slide off of the bone too. If you are ever in the Atlanta, Tx area you should do yourself a favor and stop in for some awesome BBQ.
