Born and raised in san fernando. Left when I was 15 and I try to come every year but this was the first time I came back and brought my whole family, hubs and kids and they all loved it. Same great taste, same friendly smiles. A short and simple menu like always.

We went out of our way to stop here at Tommy’s on 6/28/2023, Wednesday at around 2:30-2:40ish PM (driving from Hollywood, heading north back home over 200 miles.) As soon as we pulled up to the drive through we asked for the family pack. That was going great, till we asked to add on other items to our order as we are a big family driving on the road. The “man” taking our order had a rude tone, would answer us immediately-almost interrupting us while we spoke- being very short, to the point, and sounded so irritated like he was miserable with his life and job. So we drove off. People who sound miserable and irritated at their job should go work SOMEWHERE ELSE. I hope this “man” who was working at the window reads this. All we wanted was to eat some good food and go on with our day. We really wanted to try this place as we love diner/sandwich spots versus big food chain fast food. We just wanted to feed our family. I do NOT recommend this restaurant as a family-friendly place to eat!!!!! Thanks for wasting my time and gas. We were planning to spend over $100 dollars. I know that is not much but we went ahead and stopped at a restaurant for dine in and we left a $100 tip on top of our total bill because the service was ironically exceptional! Rude cashier, and very unprofessional! After waiting a long time at the drive thru and no one taking my order, I drove to the cashier window. Where i was greeted by a rude cashier telling me why i pulled up. I told him no one answered!! He then said ” if we didn’t answer its because we are busy!!! You need to go back to the drive thru and wait till we call you!! I told him so your not going to take my order?. He replied no!!. It’s a shame the world we live in where the establishment thinks they can treat customers this way !! Stay away from this place!
