Let me just get to the Food Review of the Roast Pork Sandwich, “AMAZING SANDWICH”! My first visit to the Reading Terminal Market and my first stop was Tommy DiNic’s. I heard about them through a food episode of the best sandwiches in the U.S. through Adam Richman and had to make a trip there. Definitely Worth the Trip! Will Definitely be back. If you like spicy, get with the Italian Long Hot Pepper. What a taste combo!

you will not leave hungry. just watching how they prepare the food will make your mouth water. just step on up and order. all the proteins are moist with great flavor. you can’t go wrong on any of those. the bread taste very fresh as well. the service is great and they will help you decide on what to order. lines can be long but service is good

Since my of my friends have recommended this location and their Roast Pork Sandwich, even not unanimously, I still want to give a shot. I was not disappointed but not impressed either.

I am going to give an unpopular decision here but I do not think it’s a good Roast Pork sandwich. I think it is over rated and per the rankings of today’s Pilgrimage, it showed that two other locations scored higher. This place is in Reading Terminal, great atmosphere, great staff, just don’t like the food. Sorry, I can’t endorse.

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Skip the Philly Cheese Steaks that are mediocre at best and come get a pork sandwich. Fantastic.

At Philly for the weekend, this is my quick review series of food places I have visited. This is one of the places highly recommended at the Reading Terminal Market. The line was about 30 people long at lunch time, but it moved quickly and in about 10 minutes we had our order. I got the Roast Pork sandwich, with spicy peppers, onions and cheese (as recommended by locals). We brought it back to the hotel and noticed they didn’t put cheese or onions/scallions, so a bit disappointed I didn’t get to try it fully loaded. The meat was flavorful, but certainly it was lacking”something” (I would’ve put some mustard but didn’t see they offer it). Might come back again to try other items like the Brisket.

I spent two weeks in Italy then visited Philly shortly after, and the Dinic’s Roast Pork sandwich can give some of the sandwiches in Italy a run for their money, BUT, it’s not quite at that level (with the exception of the Sarcone’s roll that the sandwich comes on; the bread is on point).

Loved this place. Basic sandwich menu, no thrills or frills but they know their art. Was recommended by a good friend and It didn’t disappoint. Must order the pork roast sandwich.

You cannot deny that Tommy Dinic’s is fashioned as one of the greatest sandwich places in Philadelphia, let alone in the nation. Back to a bittersweet childhood upbringing, brought me back to Reading Terminal market, to a bittersweet broccoli rabe, succulent pork, and sharp provolone.
