After 2 years of my husband wanting to try Tomi Sushi, we were finally able to. Keep in mind that they only have dine in during the summer time and take out during the off-season. Our waitress did mention they close for the winter. The food was good, and the service was good. The only somewhat negative thing was that you have to order everything all at once, and the miso soup lacked some flavor. Our waitress said that because they get so busy, my husband had to order all of his sushi at once. I would think that’s a little weird, especially if you want to order more sushi after finishing what you had, but it is what it is. The miso soup needed a little bit of something to give it a bit more flavor, and the tofu was super small. The miso soup wasn’t bad, I would still order it. Everything else was delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the edamame and soft shell, and for our main dish, I ordered the tempura platter, and my husband ordered the sushi box along with a variety of sushi (tako, unagi, sake, and maguro). He also did the saki sampler. Everything came out at a steady pace and not all at once, which was nice. I absolutely love their house ginger dressing. Overall, it was a nice dinner date night. My husband said it was worth the wait. There are a few other items on their menu that I would love to try. Our bill was around $100 for everything, but it was a lot of food and we both left stuffed.

If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled for was the miso soup. I wish it had bigger chunks of Tofu and seaweed. Everything else was great . To add I wasn’t thrilled about ordering everything all at ounce . I understand the kitchen gets full with orders, but I like to take my time and order as I go, especially with sushi. I had to order all my sushi at the same time . So my sushi had wait until I was done with my maine course before I could get to it. by then, it wasn’t as fresh as it should have been… like directly form the case to the table.

The owner and I had a discussion about stereotypes and tipping adequately. We’re both minorities sharing our frustrations on how we are perceived when it comes to giving a tip. I didn’t have the cash at the time and had someone else’s money. After a call, i got it straightened out. We just had to get to an understanding and I say this to say, please take care of this place. They’re more than just employees behind the counter. The food is great, and the locals love it here. I appreciate being treated like an individual.

I have visited many Asian and Thai restaurants and this is probably on the top of the list. My husband got the Indonesian Rice and it was absolutely amazing, slightly spicy but in a nice warm way. I can’t do spicy, but I could do this, it was perfect! (They also have spicier dishes with levels for your choosing) I ordered the Tomi platter with the yakisoba. EVERYTHING on that platter was delicious. And the yakisoba was one of the best noodle dishes we have ever tasted!! And best of all… I can tell it was good food because I left feeling good–normally foods like this hurt my stomach or leave a sodium aftertaste, but not this. I felt comfortable and satisfied. We will definitely go back there so I can try more things. 10/10 recommend.

Hooray! Another Asian restaurant to visit an satisfy my sushi- shamini cravings and they have an excellent selection of Asian dishes to compliment the fish. Add to that a very nice selection of sake, some by the glass and by bottles. Miso soup was especially good.

My husband and I went there for lunch today. We asked the woman at the register if we should both order a chicken pad tai. As we had never been before.She told us we should both have one. So we took her advice and also got veggie rice and chicken fingers. We had enough food for at least 4 people. She must have wanted to make money on us as we could never eat that much food ! 51.00 for lunch for 2 people is outrageous ! Don’t ever take advice from the owner. We won’t be back.
