Great food, servers could be better. We have been here several times and always enjoy our meal. Casual trendy atmosphere. Biggest complaint here is they have a somewhat high priced menu and try to sell themselves as upper end dining, however their servers never seem to be experts on the menu and just never seem as polished as I would expect at this price point. Regardless the food is always good and the bar makes amazing one of kind cocktails.

Two things I was concerned with by reading other reviews: being overpriced and lack of knowledge of servers.

Came on a Monday night and had fantastic service from Camilla! Started with lemon lavender drop and Tom brown ale, and tried app Mean green egg roll (BBQ meets Asian!) Wow all great new flavors. Go-to-main Filet cooked medium did not disappoint. Will be back just for desserts.

We came here for our anniversary. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I love their beached cat cocktail!! We got the spicy pimento balls to start and they were delicious. Hubby got the ribeye and I got the filet. The steaks were good. I think their sides are kind of meh. The food is overpriced imo for what you get with it. Our server was friendly and attentive. It’s a fairly solid place!

We enjoyed our visit to Tom Brown’s! The food was good (although a little overpriced) and the drinks were awesome! The restaurant is nicely decorated with a chill atmosphere. There is ample seating outside with gas heaters for those chilly evenings. Just a heads up, they are not implementing any COVID precautions and none of the staff or servers are wearing masks at this time.

Very nice food was excellent. We first went here a few years ago when it first opened. Our comments were very expensive burger place. Was not impressed. We went back last week. What a change. Food was excellent, proper proportions you do not leave feeling stuffed or with a bag full of food you could not finish. It is expensive but today what isn’t. I never understood why Madison does not have a high end restaurant this could potentially be one. A few changes to the interior and other things presentation of food other small changes and it cool be this high end.

Wanted to take someone special to a nice and unique place for their birthday. Thought that $100 average per person must result in a great place with exceptional food. Unfortunately the entire experience was disappointing. The food was cold, the fish was under cooked even after sending it back twice. The steak was cooked medium when ordered well done. The lobster was rubbery. The salads ordered before dinner were never brought to the table until we brought it up again and arrived after we finished our dinners the lettuce was not washed, very dirty. We asked for extra rolls and they were never brought to the table, even though there was a charge for them. Free dessert but we’ve tasted better from grocery store freezer. A waiter walked passed the table and dropped silverware that splattered food on the back of my friends legs. A manager never came to the table to check on us, the situation or the fact that so many mistakes were happening. Horrible chef, bad customer service, cold and loud atmosphere, sticky dirty floor and WAY OVER PRICED!! I wouldn’t have mind spending that kind of money if it was worth it but I have spent way less at places that actually served good food in an enjoyable and clean atmosphere with good service. Basically this place serves cheap beer and charges top shelf champagne prices.

It was an incredible experience, but I do think that they could work on making things better with a few touches. For example the cocktails are quite expensive and incredibly weak, but they also have a sign behind the bar to let you know you’re only getting 1.25oz’s of alcohol in your drink, so if you like the taste of alcohol in a cocktail this isn’t the place for you to drink. The food is a bit on the expensive side as well but it’s perfectly cooked with amazing contrasting flavors but the plates look a bit empty and could use some vegetables to add an inexpensive pop of color to the plate and fill in some empty space. The amount of food they give is actually a good filling amount and the flavors are excellent. All together it was a great meal and great atmosphere.
