After the Tollgate Crossings had been closed for some time, we got there just two days after they were reopened. All I can say is that the young employees went above and above in their helpfulness and friendliness. The ice cream is amazing, and my wife even said the coffee she had was really great. So we will be stopping here anytime we are passing through. 🙂

This place is a neat experience if you have the time and inclination to drive up to Tollgate. The atmosphere has charm and was quiet when I was there. Great service, although don’t expect a full breakfast menu on Thursday as that’s restocking day. They do guarantee their burgers and fries on Thursdays. Hot cocoa is great, the French toast is good with a generous amount of cream cheese, the hashbrowns are hand chopped and a neat texture.

Such a quaint and delightful place to dine in and enjoy all the thoughtful details. Great food and atmosphere. We camp nearby and enjoy stopping in for a scoop of ice cream, or fresh baked goods. The restaurant was a real treat!

So beautifully decorated. Ordered chicken fry basket and Mac and cheese burger. Food was ok but took a while to get our order. Lady that greeted us was very nice and even told us about huckleberry picking… but seemed like the other staff lady was timid and not very attentive.

Wow! Please stop at this fabulous outpost! What a GEM! Amazing people with an incredible menu. The food was delicious and came out with beautiful presentation. All of the flavors were amazing and we were grateful to stumble across this rustic spot while on a scenic drive in the Umitalla National Forest. Thank you! We hope to be back again someday.

Friendly staff and unique atmosphere. Food was very good and had Keto, vegetarian and gluten free options. Homemade treats/food, coffee was very good and have convenience store options for on the go as well. Looking forward to coming back for dinner as we live close by, a great stop on your way to adventuring.

My husband and I were on a day trip and starting to get hungry, we stopped at the outpost. Thinking it was a convenient store, we were pleasantly surprised at the treats, the pastries, the pies, all homemade. We shared a fruit custard tart in the dining room, as we looked at the menu and decided we’d make it back for dinner. We’re glad we did! The staff was friendly, helpful and very timely with our food and drinks. The decor was quaint and the Bigfoot foot prints on the wall were fun to look at! We’ll definitely be back for the prime rib!
