One of the food court stalls at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights. They offer wide variety of curry and udon that are quite delicious. Perhaps not quite up to par with solid Japanese restaurants around the area but for a food court food, it is quite good. There are many other good stalls in the place including ramen, Korean, and boba places so it is worth checking out others as well.

I came here a few days and got the Chicken Cutlet Bowl and it was amazing! The chicken katsu was so tender and flavorful and the rice was also flavorful yet soft and it complimented the texture of the onions and eggs I would definitely recommend this dish!

The one person at the counter was knowledgeable about the menu. I asked to order a side of Gyoza and Charsiu… and paused, as I forgot the Maze Soba part, and they finished saying it for me. The food was good and surprisingly filled me up. I would like to try other dishes here at some point. (I’m only here for a week and today is my last day).

We got the double cutlet pork and chicken. The first thing we noticed was that there was barely any curry sauce! The meat was also kinda oily too. There’s another restaurant in the food court that has WAY better curry cutlet. Definitely won’t order from this place again. But it’s not like you can’t eat it so they at least deserve a 3 star.

Right inside the amazing Mitsuwa Marketplace, plenty to do! We tried their Gyudon (Japanese Beef Rice Bowl) with a soft egg. It came with miso soup as well. We also added on a fried oyster.

Store is inside q food court in Mitsuwa, the biggest Japanese supermarket in the midwest. I ordered the pork cutlet bowl, which I enjoyed very much.. it is so delicious. A bit pricey at around $15 after tax.

I got the maze-soba. The noodles were thick and chewy. The sauce was okay, it sort of tasted like furikake; I’m assuming it was some kind of dried fish stock or something. What I didn’t like about the dish was that there was way too much garlic and chives. The flavor and fragrance were super overpowering and unpleasant to eat. The serving size and price was pretty fair though. I’ve never had maze-soba, but overall, it was just okay. Perhaps I can try some of their other dishes because I know it’s a pretty popular spot inside Mitsuwa.
