Huge change since new management came in. Good food at reasonable prices. The fish on our sushi was twice the size you typically get elsewhere. Very pleasingly plated. The chef noticed we were celebrating our anniversary, and made he wasabi into a little heart shape. It’s the little touches like that that will make me a repeat customer.

Bathroom disgusting. Food way over cooked. Sushi look like fast food. Being charged $4 for fried rice. Most importantly ******they automatically add 15% tips on the bill for party of 2. And I added 18% tips additional without noticing it was already been charged. Never ever go back ever.

Very nice. The chef performs a few tricks while cooking your meal. The food is pretty good. You may have to share the seating area with others depending on the crowd size. Overall a very nice experience. Five people in our party and the bill was just over $100.

When I looked this place up (after the fact to leave this review) I wasn’t surprised by a 2.4 because that’s exactly what this place is. Group of five order 10 sushi rolls and it took over a hour to get them. They brought two at a time over the span of an hour. The rice was warm on the last half and the tempura was cold in the first half. They must’ve ran out of sushi rice and had to make more. On a Saturday night? The place is run down, dark, and our server was awful. My 15% automatic gratuity paid for one single glass of water and was never asked again for over 1.5 hours. A male server gave us unwrapped straws with his dirty hands. I hope my friend never asks me back here so I don’t have to tell her “no way”. Could not wait to leave.

Please read the below reviews. I was going to bring my mother here for her birthday tomorrow but after reading the below reviews I will definitely take her elsewhere. It sounds repeatedly like they don’t want to make changes and therefore I’m not going to force them to do so, but will take my business elsewhere. Thank you all for your insight into this restaurant. I am so grateful for reviews as they are the immediate window into the doors of this business without leaving our house. This restaurant better get their act together or the doors will soon be closed.

I eat here all the time until tonight . I love there food and there customer service , but tonight is something I’m not going to accept . The waiter came to take my drink order and brought out my soup and salad . I didn’t even get a chance to touch them, because the customer next to me saw a roach and I completely lost my appetite. The roach started to get closer so I got the bus boy attention. This man gonna kill it with the clothe he was using to wipe the tables and then continued to wipe the table with it . I was literally in the restaurant for 10 mins . That was just nasty and I will never eat here again , I don’t but care if they do have $9.99 dinner

Worse service every! They charge you $4 extra for fried rice, they charged us for green tea and we said that we didn’t order green tea but sweet, they charge you to sit down for hibachi , so much ginger dressing on my salad they charge 10% for tips, had to hunt down the waiter and when I asked for the manager they gave me attitude and only took 3% off of tip! Do not and I mean do not waste your time or money and also they over cooked my vegetables and seafood

The food was delicious. The server was nice and professional. I just don’t like that the gratuity is already included in your bill. Though I tip all the time, I like having the choice of how much to give. Overall great place.

We haven’t been impressed. Ordered our sushi to go and they refused to let us order a kids meal to go?!? They told us a kids meal was too much food for our three year old and we should just order fried rice… are you serious?!? Anyways, we got our sushi and were sadly disappointed. It wasn’t inedible but the ginger was not at all fresh, the wasabi had an off flavor and the white fish on our sushi was dry. This wasn’t our first visit but will likely be our last as previous visits went much the same way. Lack luster food, servers who think they know what you want better than you do and a general unwillingness to cook/make the food you want the way you want it. Over all not worth the time or the money, we will continue going to Sushi Avenue in Decatur for our sushi fix.

Prices were great! Once I got my sushi the California rolls looked great and edible unlike my spicy tuna roll they were not as I suspected to be at all. I asked if it could be taken off the bill I was told policy rules that once made I can’t get it taken off my bill. How does that make sense if the food did not look edible and I did not touch the food not once. There was no policy the sushi bar guy could show me that shows that once sushi is made you can’t not take it off. Sushi guy proceeds to pack up the unwanted sushi and tells me to take it with me. How rude is that!?! Never will I be back here again with my Bestfriend or family who stays close by. By the way it was the owner. How rude. One of his own employees had to apologize for him being so rude to us.
